Removing most of an article, including what the subject largely seems to be known for with some puffery statment of pushing "the envelope for women in the arts industry by enforcing individual creativity" is most certainly not acceptable conduct. Hi James,

I was wondering if you could clarify some more as to which sources you had found unreliable so I could go and revise the edits I had previously had.

Thank you,

@Sonenthal: It certainly wasn't constructive; you added an unsourced, personal opinion relying on the argument that scientific consensus is bogus, which I think most people would agree is an argument to attack the validity of climate change. Non Related Gods edit

Hello. How Persephone Is considered a death goddess??? Because she is the queen of the underworld? That doesn't ends it here. Underworld and Death Deities are not the same, they are related but they are not the same. So please delete her and also delete other deities who don't have main assosiatiations with death. 2A02:1388:2099:D1D7:0:0:CC94:D41D (talk) 12:57, 11 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I would say that afterlife-related deities, especially if they make judgements, would be considered a "death god". If you are removing content from other articles in the future, it's recommended to leave an explanation in the edit summary. JML1148 (Talk | Contribs) 06:24, 12 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Mistake, I did not remove any content edit

My response to your message on my talk page where you claim you have noticed that in this edit to Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School shooting, I allegedly removed content:

If you look carefully, you will notice I had not removed any content. I had only moved it to make a subsection. In fact, in edit history you can see a "+19‎", which corresponds to added newlines and the subsection title.

I hope this clears the confusion and I also wonder (in good faith, of course) how did this mistake even happen. Niokog (talk) 09:47, 12 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Niokog: My apologies for the mistake; the text moved was large enough that I couldn't see the part where it was re-added in the tool I was using (Huggle), and didn't notice that I could scroll down. I've removed the warning on your talk page. Sorry again. JML1148 (Talk | Contribs) 09:52, 12 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
It is fine. I was suspecting that the usage of a tool that provides some automatization might had been behind this. The most important thing is that this has been nicely resolved. :) Niokog (talk) 09:58, 12 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Liverpool Sound Collage edit

Hi! I think there's a slight mistake in the redaction of this article

Currently, paragraph 4 reads:

"In return for being permitted to remix some Beatles music for the album, McCartney was asked to perform on the Super Furry Animals' next album, Rings Around the World"

This implies McCartney was allowed by Super Furry Animals to remix Beatles music for his own album, and in return had to perform on Rings Around the World. I think it should read:

"In return for remixing Beatles music for the third track of the album, Peter Blake 2000, Super Furry Animals asked McCartney to perform on their next album, Rings Around the World"

Hope this makes sense. The current redaction is quite confusing.

The direct quote from Super Furry Animals is found here: https://web.archive.org/web/20030114110111/http://www.nudeasthenews.com/interviews/29

It says: "We worked with Paul McCartney last year, on the sound collage, and we asked him if he'd return the favor, which he did. So that was a lot of fun." 204.14.36.124 (talk) 01:35, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, the reason it was reverted was because there was no source added into the article to support your claims. Reading WP:CITE, specifically sections 2 and 3, will help. JML1148 (Talk | Contribs) 01:38, 14 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your intervention on ANI about that Brisbane Lions issue edit

I must say I was shocked to see Roylion68 actually sought to start that ANI discussion in that fashion today too, of course there are numerous options for dispute resolution on WP short of going to ANI, and his claims were 100% contrary-to-fact about virtually every issue mentioned, including claiming he'd issued warnings to me when the truth is the exact opposite.

WP:3 does seem like a possible viable course of action, although sadly not very hopeful about what might come of that, so far he's just automatically denied WP:NPOV WP:Reliable factual info that contradicts his preconceived opinion, no matter how many times I've tried, and repeated very obviously provably false claims over and over again. I hope another user intervening might ensure a better outcome, but not confident about this mate. JayBee00 (talk) 07:29, 31 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

@JayBee00: It was unusual to jump straight to AN/I, especially considering the other options. Generally, getting a third opinion is the next step in these sorts of content issues where significant discussion has already taken place. I would recommend you get that now. JML1148 (talk | contribs) 07:37, 31 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Just thinking about what to say in that WP:3 request at the moment - first time I've ever actually had to do this mate. JayBee00 (talk) 07:44, 31 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
@JayBee00: When making those sorts of requests, try to be non-partisan, and summarise the opinions of both sides. Ideally, link to any pages that any edits have happened or where discussions have occurred. JML1148 (talk | contribs) 07:46, 31 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I think I've done that correctly now @JML1148, could you check at WP:3 to ensure what I've done is reasonably OK? JayBee00 (talk) 08:02, 31 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
@JayBee00: You've done everything right, except you need the time with no signature, which I've fixed. JML1148 (talk | contribs) 08:04, 31 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
OK, yeah, all good now, Was tempted to go into further detail about the issue, of course, but I expect the content I've posted on that Talk page speaks for itself well enough :) JayBee00 (talk) 08:07, 31 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
@JML1148 - thinking about requesting you come in on that discussion perhaps...? JayBee00 (talk) 08:48, 31 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I don't really have an opinion nor do I want to be involved. I don't think it would be appropriate for me to comment after directing you there. JML1148 (talk | contribs) 09:06, 31 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
@JML1148 - unfortunately, surprised to discover today that my WP:3 request has apparently been denied and that request removed from the list at WP:3. Thinking at the moment about what the appropriate next step would be and I'd appreciate any advice you might be able to give.
As far as the detail of the dispute itself goes, I am very confident that I have more than sufficient conclusive evidence about the subject at this point, in the form of the legal documentation detailing the facts of exactly what occurred with both clubs, and also the corporate registration details for each of the two clubs as separate entities, each with links and further detail provided on the "Talk" page, as well as a link to an online published copy of that legal document (the Deed of Arrangement). Although I haven't gone ahead and done any further editing of the article on that basis yet. JayBee00 (talk) 03:59, 1 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
@JayBee00: The third opinion was declined because there were more than two editors involved - presumably Local Potentate and/or Shaggy9872004, which I missed as they only made a few comments. The next step would be to open an RfC, which will be a vote from the community, provided the other editor still wants to continue. @Roylion68: Do you still disagree with JayBee? JML1148 (talk | contribs) 07:23, 1 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Happy to throw it open to an RfC. Roylion68 (talk) 12:43, 1 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
@JML1148 - I've also been researching further about possible options, including those listed at WP:Dispute Resolution.
Aside from an RfC, it seems like WP:Mediation would be a good possible step, I think outside opinion would be particularly helpful, and since WP:3 doesn't cover this, this mediation process looks like another good option for that. WP:DRN is an obvious possibility for mediation & WP:Neutral_point_of_view/Noticeboard, WP:No_original_research/Noticeboard & Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard would likely have relevance in one way or another.
Specifically, I think this situation would best be described as a WP:Accuracy Dispute.
I dare say the facts in question might be considered WP:EXCEPTIONAL by some, therefore requiring multiple high-quality sources, but in that event, I'm sure the Deed of Arrangement between Fitzroy and Brisbane Bears and the relevant details therein, and the corporate registration details, ASIC and ABR information about each club, would qualify well enough as high-quality sources. JayBee00 (talk) 13:45, 1 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
@JayBee00: It's good to research a few options, and decide on the best one for the matter. In this case, either an RfC or WP:MED are best. I don't really think this is an accuracy dispute, as Shirt58 excellently at put it it AN/I, it seems to be about "what the legal documents say vs what the sports pages of The Age and The Courier-Mail say". Panorama Tour (redirection) edit

Hi James,

I created a new page yesterday, but hadn't finished populating the content and I see you've now just redirected to Hayley Kiyoko's page. Can I do that (put the rest of the content in, with all the tour dates, details of openers etc) and then it won't need to be redirected to Hayley Kiyoko's page?

Thanks AI8401 (talk) 13:59, 11 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

@AI8401: Provided you can meet WP:GNG from sources about the Tour, it's OK to have an article about in. In future, it may be worth finishing your article in your sandbox or in draft form, to ensure that deletions or redirects don't happen. JML1148 (talk | contribs) 23:52, 11 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
