Speedy deletion nomination of Jesus as priest

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Jesus as priest, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Sophie(: 08:12, 17 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

It's a redirect page, maybe your bot picked up an initial typo, and reacted to it. JMK (talk) 08:18, 17 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

thanks edit

Thanks for correcting that boneheaded goof at Herennius Senecio. I have no idea how I managed to put "BC" instead of "AD," other than haste and habit, and am glad you caught this. Cynwolfe (talk) 15:00, 1 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hornbills edit

Hi, The birds for identification series has a structure with 10 birds under each sub-heading with the last digit going from 0 to 9. This makes searching easier including after the text is archived. I have fixed the formatting, and the hornbills are now numbers 1062 and 1063. Snowman (talk) 22:41, 24 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. JMK (talk) 08:56, 25 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Autopatrolled edit

Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:

  • This permission does not give you any special status or authority
  • Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
  • You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
  • If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing!HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 05:21, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Acacia edit

Hi JMK,

File:Tree9.jpg was taken in the village of Tshelanyemba, which is in the south-west of Zimbabwe near the Botswanan border. Please let me know if you are able to identify the species!

Hi JMK,
Thanks for informing me of your findings! I'm glad the photo can now be used to greater effect.

adding coordinates edit

I appreciate your help in adding coordinates to articles. I want to point out, however, that your use of the {{Coord}} template is slightly incorrect. For best results, the region code (such as ZA) needs to be prefixed by region:. For example, see my recent corrections to your edits at Burgers Park and other articles. Aside from that minor detail, you are doing well. Please keep up the good work. —Stepheng3 (talk) 21:56, 27 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, was unsure about that detail, assume that type:river_region:ZA would be the equivalent for rivers. JMK (talk) 05:55, 28 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
That's correct. —Stepheng3 (talk) 17:02, 18 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Travis Walton edit

Hi. Please do not add unsourced material or original research to articles, as you did with these edits to Travis Walton, as this violates Wikipedia's policies of No Original Research and Verifiability. Thanks, and Happy Holidays. :-) Nightscream (talk) 05:01, 26 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for pointing out. Going through references again, I noticed that the location was in fact incorrect, referring to a subsequent location, which may be of interest to the article also. My reference in this case was a youtube video of a recent Walton interview, see 3:25 onwards, on the Today show of March 6, 2011. As a video source, it seems acceptable, though I did not include it, believing the detail to be easily verifiable, and uncontentious.
Went through the policy statements once again, and some issues are clearer. It does seem to me though as if the distance and direction which I added, are acceptable as routine calculations. The calculation is the same as those used by GPS instruments. I feel that no opinion or point of view is introduced in this manner.
As far as the coordinate is concerned, I just notice that many of these are unreferenced. Even when I want to add a reference for a title coordinate I seemingly cannot do so. In an article like the Kennedy assassination, I see no reference for the detailed coordinate, and suspect that it may rely on "original recognition" of the site. By that I mean the same process by which plants and animals are identified on photos uploaded to wikipedia. The references are seldom given, as references often cannot prove the identity of the species on the photo beyond doubt.
If it's OK, I'll make another attempt to add these locations to the article, with references that to some extent support the locations. It may be better to relegate the coordinates to notes, or to additions to the references. I feel that the article may benefit from a distance calculation. JMK (talk) 11:25, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
