Merger proposal for Bohr Theory and Balmer-Rydberg Equation

This isn't a separate topic, it's central to the Bohr model, and so should be covered in the Bohr model article. (It's already discussed there, but perhaps could be expanded with some of the content from here.) Djr32 (talk) 11:13, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Perhaps it should be deleted entirely, with perhaps some of its references mined or ported. I can't find a thing in it that isn't already better explained better and more completely in Bohr model. Can you? We already have separate articles for the Balmer series and Rydberg formula, but those are mostly historical (as they should be). Perhaps The Wandering Traveler can explain to us what is new about this new article which isn't already in the other three? I'll leave a note on his talk page. SBHarris 09:06, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

Copyedit request

Hi there. I need help with copyediting on Ralph Bakshi, a current FAC. Are you interested? (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 02:21, 4 May 2009 (UTC))

Proposed deletion of List of administrators of Metro Manila

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of administrators of Metro Manila, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not an almanac

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Invitation

Hello, I noticed you've made edits to University of the Philippines (UP) and UP–related articles and thought you might want to support our recent proposal to create the WikiProject University of the Philippines. We've recently revamped the proposal and started a drive to push the approval of this project. We have a lot of articles that may be under this project and we would like assistance and support for its approval. Hope we'll have a very positive response. Go Fighting Maroons!

P.S. You can look at the preliminary drafts of the project in here. Thanks! --The Wandering TravelerWIKIPROJECT UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT! 06:55, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Pilw

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Thanks, you may speed delete it.--The Wandering TravelerWIKIPROJECT UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT! 05:18, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
I would but I'm not an admin. ;) --T'Shael MindMeld 05:21, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

Help

{{help}} Do I have to go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals to seek approval if ever I would like to start a WikiProject? Do I have to say to the council that I want to start a project? Or go straight by creating the project? Thanks. --The Wandering TravelerWIKIPROJECT UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT! 04:38, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

That is the best way to do it. Some people go around just creating projects, but they then get deleted because there are no participants. You should get 5 users who want to work on a project before it is created. ANother way is to find a connected project, and ask on its talk page if there are people who are interested. You could just make up a sandbox project in your own userspace if you want to be the only member! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 04:46, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

(edit conflicted)

Whilst not obligatory (because Wikipedia has no rules), it is highly recommended to go to the council. It is a good opportunity to gather the support required, gauge the interest, avoid duplication of efforts, and to get things going. Please read the Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Guide, and this section of the missing manual]]. Good luck with it,  Chzz  ►  04:48, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi

I'm into editing and updating articles about Cabuyao, Laguna.

How am I able to put some inline citations to that page? In order for you not to put tags on it, tagging more/no footnotes, very long and whatever.

I swear that I'm not creating and inventing my own words and information about that article, I have lots of sources proving that all of the informations I put there are all true and verifiable. I know that you are wandering, wandering about all the information I always keep on putting there. But I'm just amateur, a beginner in Wikipedia, who just wants the goodness of my hometown's article.

So please, I'm in need of your help.. Please help me to improve my skills in editing Cabuyao, Laguna's article. I know that it's too long.. Please help me summarize it but not into deleting what I have done. I know that it has no footnotes and in need of inline citations, but I don't know what will and should I do..

You, as an intelligent and expert Wikipedian, I repeat, I'm in need of your Big Help, so please help me..

Again, my intention of editing that article, without considering that I'm just a beginner, is the goodness and improvement of my Hometown's (Cabuyao, Laguna) article, and nothing bad and wrong is my intent..

Thank You very much friend.. (I called you friend -even without introducing first myself- because we're both Wikipedian.. I know that we can be good friends someday)

Sincerely yours, Othanwiki2009 of Brgy. Mamatid, Cabuyao, Laguna —Preceding unsigned comment added by Othanwiki2009 (talkcontribs) 08:33, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

But how am I able to tag my articles? I don't know how to start.. Will you start it for me? And teach me after..

Service to PGMA

We noticed that your activities in the lakan Dula is helping PGMA.Please help add credibility to the PGMA claim to Lakan Dula heritage by allowing other descendants of Lakan Dula to post their family history that leads to Lakan Dula. Monopolizing the Lakan Dula heritage by just the PGMA family alone may lack credility and may be subject to lots of revisions someday. We are in the same boat. Just help us, the descendants from Samar, to add some points about us and we will be a team.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.53.104.220 (talkcontribs)

I removed again your edits, since it lacks citation. You know here in Wikipedia, citations are important, especially those claims. I myself didn't know that Pres. Arroyo's claim is existing. You must provide your sources in case it may give disputes in the near future. If you shall continue to post these unverified and unreferenced sources, I will be willing to removed it all over again until you present information available. Perhaps those Dulay aren't notable to be in Wikipedia at all. Everyone may claim Lakan Dula's descendant, even I, so references are necessary.--The Wandering TravelerWIKIPROJECT UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT! 00:46, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
