September 2007 edit

Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Albany, New York. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for test edits. Thank you. — TKD::Talk 18:16, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I tried deleting the "Smallbany" part in the Albany, NY section because it is pretty apparent that whole section is just made up. I've lived in Albany most of my life and have only heard that term once and it was used in the context of a bunch of computer programmers because they always end up working with one another at different companies in the Albany vicinity.

Please remove this "Smallbany" section - I find it hard to believe that more than one person decided that was a legitimate fact to put up in the Albany, NY section of your fine site. It only insults the city, offers nothing to a reader and is quite untrue.

Well, for it's worth, multiple sources seem to be cited. If you have an issue with them, it's best to explain that on the talk page of the article or, minimally, in your edit summary. — TKD::Talk 18:42, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
See also the talk page on Albany page [[1]] This has been up for discussion for a long time. Don't just delete it since there are an equal number of people who have stood in favor of this edited version.Gnhn 13:13, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry I am new to the editing of WikiPedia so I thought you could just edit it at will for the most part. The sources are ridiculous if you look at them. I did join the discussion as per your suggestion and it appears that the majority of people in the discussion want it removed as well.
