Social anxiety article edit

The material you added to the article Social anxiety has been removed because it was an advertisement for the services of a particular psychotherapist. There are many psychotherapists who work with social anxiety, and there is no reason for us to single one of them out. Wikipedia is not an advertising service or a directory of service providers. Please do not re-add this kind of material to Social anxiety or any other article. If you are interested in contributing productively to Wikipedia, check out our welcome page. Inappropriate external links edit

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Response to your note edit

You said, "Then make a list of psychotherapists, including Jonathan Berent, so that Wikipedia readers can learn about them and decide for themselves which ones are the best." That's not what our project is about. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. We make a point of saying that Wikipedia is not a directory, and that's what you're asking for. It sounds like Dr. Berent is helpful to a lot of people, which is great, but Wikipedia is not the place to promote his services. FreplySpang 16:19, 11 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Manb0z4L69G3UdS1k5GB8bSl1fY-dXPk0300.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Manb0z4L69G3UdS1k5GB8bSl1fY-dXPk0300.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:06, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

One Life to Live edit

Thanks for the heads-up, I fixed the article; but that was very strange, the sections didn't show in the revision screens when they disappeared or when I put them back. TAnthony 16:57, 25 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

OK, I just realized what happened; the user had put a hidden note in the coming & going section but didn't "close it off", so it hid everything after that. The sections were there, just not showing, which is why they weren't in the edit notes as removed. Anyway, all fixed, thanks again. :) TAnthony 17:01, 25 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
