Speedy deletion of The Best Damn Thing Tour edit

A tag has been placed on The Best Damn Thing Tour requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 04:38, 20 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Breakout (album) edit

I have nominated Breakout (album), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Breakout (album). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Sorry to bother you, but are you by any chance user Jlovely at Flickr? I only ask because, if so, I was wanting to ask for a release of some photos. If not, never mind! Kelly hi! 06:54, 21 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, thank you edit

And hello to you too. - Vianello (talk) 06:49, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • By the way, removing a CfD template from a category page doesn't take that page off the list of categories for deletion. - Vianello (talk) 07:36, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Well, hey, for what little my opinion matters, I'll give you points for honesty there. - Vianello (talk) 08:30, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • It's pretty easy. Just take a gander at that template I put on the page. All you really need to do is copy that basic form. Then go to WP:CfD and create an entry for it like the one there. Is that too vague? I kinda let Twinkle do the legwork for me on that one, so I'm a little hazy on the fine details, I admit. - Vianello (talk) 08:37, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Sorry I can't be more helpful on that! I can teach you about other ways to report stuff, but I've only ever submitted two category pages for deletion, so I know basically squat about that. What do you mean about a 'spam person', though? You mean, somebody who patrols for vandalism or spam pages? Or do you mean an administrator? - Vianello (talk) 08:46, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Ohh, shoot, that's easy. There's LOTS to do. And you don't need special permission! One easy thing to do is hang out on the Recent Changes page (the link's on the left, under "interaction") and just check things out. Watch for edits made by people with questionable usernames, or by anonymous IP addresses. If you see an edit you want to check out, hit "diff" by the edit, and it'll show you the page before on the left, and what it was changed to on the right. If they've just screwed with the page, you can undo it by hitting "undo" by the new edit. It'll take you to a normal page edit dialogue like you're used to, and all you have to do is hit save. Voila, the page will be saved with the jerk's obnoxious edit undone! It's a bit easier than doing it manually. If you use Firefox, Safari, or Opera as your web broswer, once you get comfortable with things, you can check out WP:Twinkle. It's a handy little app that makes lots of stuff on Wikipedia WAY easier. Great to have. - Vianello (talk) 08:59, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

August 2008 edit

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Miley Cyrus, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you.   Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Taylor Swift, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Nabudis Shadow (talk) 13:22, 14 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Joel C. Rosenberg edit

I don't think he _is_ Jewish. I'm going to revert your edits, but please let me know if I'm wrong. Hobit (talk) 13:15, 2 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please check out the talk page. There has been some discussion on the issue. I'm cool either way at this point. As I noted in my edit summary, I'm not sure if "Jewish" in this case is racial or religious or either in this context. And even given that, I _think_ the Jewish definition of racial involves the mother's line. But I really don't know... Hobit (talk) 16:19, 2 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
