Please don’t bite me, I’m a newbie!

I’m a university student in a Wikipedia Education class, and I’m currently learning how to contribute to Wikipedia.
I am approaching my subject in good faith.

September 2020 edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your recent edit to Coral Bay, Western Australia, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. Graham87 14:44, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Also, please don't remove the templates from the top of the article like you did while editing the Coral Bay page. They are important for maintenance. Graham87 14:44, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Coral Bay edit

Hello, thanks very much for your edits to this article, but it appears that you used some article about a much larger settlement as a model ... which unfortunately probably wasn't the best idea! I've therefore removed quite a bit of the content you added, though much of it remains, and the article certainly has a lot more useful information than it used to. I've also enlisted help about the article at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Western Australia. Graham87 17:25, 30 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Re: Thanks edit

No worries ... C-class is just my default assessment for any substantial article. Wikipedia:Content assessment contains the official descriptions for the classes ... I wouldn't describe C-class in the way that page does though. I think considering the nature of the place the article is already good enough, and I don't know where else it could be taken. You could ask at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Western Australia for further opinions ... but please use the new section button next to the "Edit this page" link to start new sections.
