Don't try to read and learn everything in them in one go, because there is far too much there. (In my opinion the worst change to Wikipedia over the years has been the continual increase in the number and length of the various policies and guidelines, resulting in there being so much there that it can be confusing and intimidating for a new editor.) However, do have a look and see whether any of the pages has information which is relevant to your needs now, and obviously you can always come back to them in the future if and when other things become relevant.
