- Sorry Don, but I have better things to do than argue about the trivial nonsense these projects seem obsessed with.--IvoShandor (talk) 21:24, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Barnstar
Thank you for the unexpected barnstar. It was a nice surprise to wake up to this morning. I've seen your name here and there as I wandered about the encyclopedia, but I don't believe our paths have crossed directly before. Working on Rhyolite was fascinating. If I can ever be of help with something you are working on, please let me know. Finetooth (talk) 14:03, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- I should add that my contribution to Kinzua Bridge was minor. User:Dtbohrer was the main contributor and the nominee at FAC. Finetooth (talk) 15:28, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the nice little surprise. I had thought about asking you to take a look at the article while it was at PR but it looked like you were on a wikibreak and I didn't want to bother you. I believe you should also be giving yourself some recognition for those pre-destruction photos of the bridge. --D.B.talk•contribs 18:52, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
Hey
Hey, I was wondering if you were interested in The Simpsons Wikiproject or were just working on this one article? CTJF83Talk 04:54, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- Well I think you did good work on the house, and am sure you'd do more good work on Simpsons pages too! We have an IRC chat room if you use that too. #wpsimpsons. CTJF83Talk 05:03, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- HAHA, great! welcome aboard! Do you use IRC chat at all? CTJF83Talk 05:17, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, Simpsons project members are in the room often to talk about articles or whatever. I'm in there now too, hehe. Welcome to the project, and I hope you enjoy it! CTJF83Talk 05:22, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Howdy
Hi Ivo, always glad to see you around - I peer reviewed Rhyolite and Kinzua Bridge (and copyedited the latter), so I am glad you saw both made FA (and it was very nice of you to recognize Finetooth and Dtbohrer's hard work). I am working (at glacial pace) on getting another state park to FAC. Take care, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 19:17, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Ivo, I will be glad to take a look at it tomorrow - am about to call it a night. Thanks, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 05:12, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
- How about DYK ... that there was no White House Christmas tree in 1902 because President Theodore Roosevelt had not ordered one by December 23rd? Other suggestions welcome, nice article by the way ;-) Ruhrfisch ><>°° 10:20, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
- I like the Lincoln hook best, will nominate that. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 14:23, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
- I just saw the new JFK, Jackie and tree pic - that might make it on the Main Page with the hook - your call. Plus it is a positive hook (Lincoln and TR hooks are both negative - no tree - hooks). Let me know, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 14:28, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
- Hmmm - how about make the JFK pic the hook, but list Lincoln as the alternate if it is not pictured? I will go ahead and do the nom that way now. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 15:52, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
- The nom is in. I have one in for April Fools DYK, but don't know if it will make it. Good luck, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 16:08, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
- The April Fools nom is DYK that Cherry Springs Airport in Potter County, Pennsylvania, was closed because the starlight there was too bright? (ALT is that the sky was too dark). If it does not make AF, I think it should have no trouble with a regular DYK. Herbert Hoover fished in Larrys Creek several times, once as president. I have seen a photo of him there, but it would have to be fair use. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 19:06, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Fountain of Time
I thought you might be able to help me find info on Washington Park details about Fountain of Time. Might there be any commentary in the Park's National Register of Historic Places application about the vistas of Fountain of Time. FoT is now at FAC and I have a discussant who is looking for answers.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 02:29, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
- P.S. You should shoot for a WP:GT for all your Christmas Tree work.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 02:30, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
