Nonprofit organization based in northern Italy whose work is based on the memory and events of WWII in Italy, at Torbole Lake Garda Italy. The Association Benàch worked with the Foundazione Museo Storico (FSMT) [1] to make the documentary film The Lost Mountaineers which received the special mention by the Jury and won the Audience Award at the RAM Film Festival.[2]

Activities and Publications

Participants in retelling the story of the DUKW that sank at Lake Garda.[3]

The Col.Darby 40-mile challenge.[4]

Publications: Experts on the WWII Germany defensive line called the ‘Blaue Linie‘ / ‘Blue Line’[5] they published a book available in Italian and come in 2025 a version in English.[6]

The Story of the ‘Maybe’ The B-25J Mitchell bombardier that crashed on the 6th February 1945 at Monte Brungolo between Valle di Gresta and Arco.[7]

This book talks about the famous microbiologist Bernard Guild and support of the founding Aniakchak National Monument and Preserve.
