Milan Metro

I have added stub articles for stations down to the southerly end of Line 2. Unfortunately Italian Wikipedia has gone down, so we can't bring over any information from there. Please add to these stations if you can. Sw2nd (talk) 13:06, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Thank you! I'll see what I can do to improve the articles --Ita140188 (talk) 20:51, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Milan

Hydroelectric power in Italy

Hello, I just noticed you made that article, nice job! I am currently doing research for the Entracque Power Plant article and plan to start it in the next few days. Supposedly, it is the largest hydroelectric plant in Italy1. I didn't see it on your list and was curious if it had another name. I have seen the aforementioned and "Chiotas-Piastra Pumped Storage Scheme" as well. A lot of the sources for it are in Italian, which I assume you are fluent in. Any help you could provide would be nice. Thanks.--NortyNort (Holla) 22:48, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

Hello! Thank you! I looked for a reliable list of hydro plants in Italy for a while, but it's very difficult to find. Eventually I used it:Lista delle centrali elettriche presenti in Italia, which reports a capacity of 125 MW for Entracque plant. I made a quick research and I think this error comes from this page: [1]. I guess the right figure is 1200MW, so I will add it on the list. Anyway, I would be happy to help on the article, if you need some translation from Italian, feel free to ask! --Ita140188 (talk) 09:29, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
I'm thinking that maybe 125 MW is the actual net power (generated)... on the Enel website it says "è un tipico impianto di pompaggio puro", which means "it is a typical pure pumped[-storage] plant", maybe 1200 MW is the total power, mostly from pumps and not turbines, even if this sounds a bit strange. Anyway I'll wait to edit the list until this becomes clear. --Ita140188 (talk) 09:51, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, that was helpful. I did some more research and two different plants in Entracque are listed because the Entracque Power Plant holds generators for two different reservoirs in the same area; Rovina (133 MW (sometimes listed as 125 MW)) and Chiotas (1,184 MW (sometimes listed as 1,200 or 1,190)). I made the article today, you can see it here, it explains it better. The 1,200 MW figure is a 'rounding-up' of 1,184 MW which is the total capacity of the generators located in the plant. I added the plant to the list. What the article is lacking is a history of construction and background as to how it was constructed. If you could find any of that info, it would help improve the article.
Also, I requested a speedy renaming of Category:Hydroelectric power in Italy to Category:Hydroelectricity in Italyhere, per the naming convention atCategory:Hydroelectricity by country.--NortyNort (Holla) 11:12, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
Thank you very much! You made a very nice job with the Entracque plant article! If I find something more I'll surely contribute! --Ita140188 (talk) 11:52, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
No problem and if you every need any help, let me know.--NortyNort (Holla) 01:48, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

Milan Area C

Hi Ita140188. I think the Milan Area C article, which you created, is good enough to nominate for DYK? Would you like to go through the process? Cheers.--Mariordo (talk) 06:04, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Actually you did most of the work! I don't know how it works for the nomination and I don't have time now, so if you want you can do that.--Ita140188 (talk) 09:03, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
OK, I already have an DYK in progress, so for the time being I will wait. I will let you know if I decide to go ahead.--Mariordo (talk) 19:49, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Milano Bovisa-Politecnico railway station

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Milano Bovisa-Politecnico railway station requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Yasht101 18:59, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Undid revision 500461001

Ciao --Ita140188 (talk) 16:07, 3 July 2012 (UTC)

Alitalia head office in EUR

Hi! I reviewed some edits of EUR, Rome and came across the removal of Alitalia HQ being in EUR. I restored it; when a major international corporation has a presence in a neighborhood, that presence needs to be noted. Today Alitalia's HQ is in Fiumicino, but nevertheless the historical presence needs to be noted too.

Speedy deletion declined: Carrone

Hello Ita140188, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Carrone, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: It does exist, see Carrone, TO, Italy. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. -- DQ (ʞlɐʇ) 08:00, 24 October 2012 (UTC)

Carrone in the province of Turin is not even a municipality, it's a frazione (hamlet) of a small town (see w:it:Carrone). And by the way the article says it is in Sicily. I think it should just be deleted.--Ita140188 (talk) 10:26, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
While it may not be a municipality, your nomination for speedy deletion seemed to be on the basis of CSD G3 - Purely hoax articles, and since it didn't match that, I declined it. Whether it has merit to be deleted under another criterion, I haven't looked deeply into, so feel free to renominate under a different one. But Administrators must follow the Speedy deletion procedures (immediate deletion), Proposed deletion procedures (deletion with no objections after 7 days), and Listed deletion procedures (Consensus based deletion after 7 days), and can not just delete an article without merit under one of these policies. -- DQ (ʞlɐʇ) 05:26, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
At the end I just made a redirect to the article for Strambino, which is the municipality where the place is located.--Ita140188 (talk) 05:33, 26 October 2012 (UTC)

Revert on Provinces of Italy

Sorry but I do not agree with your revert, on that time the Provinces name was in Italian language not with the original endonym! It's like renaming all stuffs with the actual name "Tunisi" what in Roman Times was Carthago! --Nicola Romani (talk) 16:04, 8 December 2012 (UTC)

Ciao. --Nicola Romani (talk) 16:17, 8 December 2012 (UTC)

Pedalling around the world

I've noted your work and slightly amended List of bicycle sharing systems. See at the talk page. Pedalissimo (talk) 16:58, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for the improvements! I also introduced country templates with flags. By the way, I left the "continent" column when I merged the tables to give a meaning to the apparent random order of countries, but it can be removed I think. --Ita140188 (talk) 23:23, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

Moved info

Hell, I see you moved an addition of mine to the controversy section. While I understand the reasoning, some consider it better to keep controversies in the appropriate section to the issue itself. This was about nepotism so surely it fitted into the section on staff? Secondly, please give edit summaries in future - it's a courtesy to other editors. Many thanks. Malick78 (talk) 08:51, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but I thought it wasn't a controversial edit. In my opinion, if there's a "controversy" section, I would expect to find that issue there. --Ita140188 (talk) 13:48, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
I know what you mean but the very existence of 'controversy' sections is controversial ;) Would you take offence if I undid your edit? Malick78 (talk) 19:08, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
Voila Malick78 (talk) 19:10, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
Of course you can restore it, but please put it as a subsection of Academics (in your edit it was a section apart) --Ita140188 (talk) 19:14, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

Milan suburban railway service

Ciao! --Ita140188 (talk) 18:56, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Tell me what was a problem in new version and I will try make new version without mistakes :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tomasz w (talkcontribs) 08:11, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

There are several reason why I reverted your edits: your version deleted several useful information (for example those in the table), the map is too big, you added information without references... essentially, you made a summary of the article, but this is not the aim of Wikipedia: as long as it belongs to an encyclopedia, there should be as much information as possible. Anyway, please propose them in the talk page before making such changes. --Ita140188 (talk) 16:24, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
Ita140188, if you really want "as much information as possible" on Wikipedia then why have you supported the merger of the page specifically about the EuroVelo 7 with its parent page (i.e. EuroVelo) when it is clear that the EV7 page has greatly expanded information including an overview map and some images? It seem completely incongruous with what you've said above. Surely we should be expanding Wikipedia, not stunting its growth? In any case, the EV7 page is set to be expanded (by me) hopefully others will too... feel free to help! reinthal (talk) 09:02, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
I agreed with the merger, this does not mean that the information should be deleted. The content should be just merged in the parent page. However, this consideration is valid for the page as it is now, if you are planning to make substantial contributions to the new page, then it may be acceptable to have a separate page. It is all about how much information there is, and right now, in my opinion, it is not enough to justify a separate page. Hope you can expand it! --Ita140188 (talk) 09:14, 23 January 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:EUR, Rome - 1953.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:EUR, Rome - 1953.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Diannaa (talk) 22:41, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

Article Feedback Tool update

Hey Ita140188. I'm contacting you because you're involved in the Article Feedback Tool in some way, either as a previous newsletter recipient or as an active user of the system. As you might have heard, a user recently anonymously disabled the feedback tool on 2,000 pages. We were unable to track or prevent this due to the lack of logging feature in AFT5. We're deeply sorry for this, as we know that quite a few users found the software very useful, and were using it on their articles.

We've now re-released the software, with the addition of a logging feature and restrictions on the ability to disable. Obviously, we're not going to automatically re-enable it on each article—we don't want to create a situation where it was enabled by users who have now moved on, and feedback would sit there unattended—but if you're interested in enabling it for your articles, it's pretty simple to do. Just go to the article you want to enable it on, click the "request feedback" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and AFT5 will be enabled for that article.

Again, we're very sorry about this issue; hopefully it'll be smooth sailing after this :). If you have any questions, just drop them at the talkpage. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) 21:49, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi there. I noticed you left a comment to my post three years ago. I was trying to revamp the list, but then I abandoned the effort. My partially-revamped list could be found here: User:Wylve/MTR list. All the stations are in one table. Cost of electricity by source

Photovoltaics:

Read the description of the article: The cost of electricity (typically cents/kWh, euro/kWh, euro or $/MWh) generated by different sources is a calculation of the cost of generating electricity at the point of connection to a load or electricity grid. It includes the initial capital, discount rate, as well as the costs of continuous operation, fuel, and maintenance. This type of calculation assists policy makers, researchers and others to guide discussions and decision making.

Then read the Photovolatics section; it does not include any of this. It is not considering maintenance, continuous operation, capacity factors, levelized costs; it is just simply a biased section that has no place is this article as a whole. It should be simply removed, or put into a separate article. I will be removing it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.118.115.225 (talk) 10:31, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

Please avoid removing the section. A lot of the material on Wikipedia is not perfect and need to be improved, but that doesn't mean it should be all deleted. The section has a lot of useful information and it should be expanded. Please consider doing this instead of removing it. --Ita140188 (talk) 10:36, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

CHANDRA KANT JAISANSARIA (AUTHOR) PAGE

Dear Sir

Please let me know the reason for tagging it for speedy deletion. Ckbansal23 (talk) 01:48, 18 September 2015 (UTC)

As specified in the notice on the page and on your talk page, the article you created does not clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia. In other words, the article should meet the criteria for notability, check this page: Wikipedia:Notability. --Ita140188 (talk) 02:01, 18 September 2015 (UTC)

Sushil tiwari

Hi there, although I agree that Sushil tiwari is likely a candidate for speedy deletion, I did want to draw to your attention that tagging an article 60 seconds after creation is a bit bitey and doesn't really assume good faith. This, of course, doesn't apply to things like adverts or attack pages, but generally giving a new user 10+ minutes is a good rule of thumb. --Non-Dropframe talk 11:24, 18 September 2015 (UTC)

I didn't notice it was just 60 seconds. Anyway I always try to confirm the identity of the person through a search. If the article is clearly not encyclopedic, giving it 10 minutes more is not going to change the situation. --Ita140188 (talk) 11:29, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
This is absolutely true. However, I mentioned WP:BITE for a reason. New editors often don't understand the rules. Tagging their page for deletion is a jarring thing to happen just after creation. Giving a relatively small amount of time is a bit less rude and is less likely to scare a new user off rather than turning them into a useful, constructive member of the community. --Non-Dropframe talk 11:37, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
Ok, I'll try to give it a little more time the next time. --Ita140188 (talk) 05:21, 22 September 2015 (UTC)

Hello. Which article are you talking about? --Ita140188 (talk) 00:15, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
Ok, I assume it is Alexander Charles Stothard. The article was deleted because it was considered not notable enough to be included in an encyclopedia. Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular

I have just entered my first ever WP entry but I understand you marked it for speedy deletion under Section G11. Each year, the festival showcases 120 brand new beers made especially for the event by the best brewers in Australia and NZ. People are very interested in seeing the lists of what beers are produced each year.

Why does this qualify for deletion? As a newcomer, I am happy to edit the content to meet guidelines but I am mystified as to how my intention to list the 450 beers is different from, say, a TV series listing its seasons and episodes. Oztapguy (talk) 06:40, 21 October 2015 (UTC)Oztapguy (Steve)

Hello, I didn't nominate the page for speedy deletion, actually I reviewed it, applying some tags. Another user afterwards nomitated it for G11. In my opinion the article is notable and is not merely advertisement. However you should talk to Melcous, who nominated the page, or to the administrator who deleted it. --Ita140188 (talk) 06:45, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

Wikipedia Asian Month is COMING!

Hi Ita140188 ,

The Wikipedia Asian Month will begin in less than an hours, and once again, thank you for signing up! Let's help the world know more about Asia! Below are a few reminders for you:

  1. Please check out the rules here. Some rules have been adjusted—the most important being that on the English Wikipedia, stubs may be expanded with some limitations.
  2. Do take the time to read the Q&A if you have any questions, or ask on the talk page.
  3. The list of participants has been alphabetized so you can more easily find your name and report your contributions.
  4. There is a template that you can use on your user page. {{Template:User Asian Month‎}}

Enjoy the Wikipedia Asian Month :) --AddisWang (talk)

PSPs in Japan

Ita, if you were looking for a few pumped-storage stations in Japan w/o an article, there are four >= 1,000 MW ones (red links) I added to the list here. I thought I had em' all on there to begin with but found them recently after looking at your articles. As I have time I will create some.--NortyNort (Holla) 11:49, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

Thanks, I will add some when I have time! --Ita140188 (talk) 04:39, 25 November 2015 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
