Your comment is: Non-notable political party, no refs given

What do you mean a non-notable political party? - we are running candidates in four states in the current election - you have parties listed that have no candidates - I think you seem to have made wrong assumption without doing any research - http://av.org.au - furthermore, you have our party listed but no details - is this a mistake? Hi, I have been notified about the 'speedy deletion' of a page I am working on, I accidentally clicked submit instead of 'view preview' as I was checking that I was constructing the page properly and I have still not finished making it. It has a lot more information to be added and the band member Calvin Paramore is a very notable member of the band due to his work with the boy band US5 and of course his works with many other artists. Therefore, I believe the article should not be deleted as it is not yet finished. Hi there Marine, and welcome to Wikipedia. I'm sorry to hear about your family and I hope you stay safe out there. Unfortunately, Wikipedia is serious business. Even if you had good intentions, that's not what Wikipedia is for. Try sending her an e-card or order her some flowers. I ordered my wife a dozen roses for her birthday when I was deployed and she said it was the best thing she ever got :) Ishdarian 11:46, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of "Agilone"

Hi Ishdarian,

This is regarding the "Speedy deletion" notice on the article "Agilone". I would hope wikipedia keeps this articleas it is Predictive Cloud based app for marketing analytics. I feel that it is informational to know about an app that marketers are using around the world to send promotional communication considering the amount of promotional content people use in today's worl. Also, in terms of technology, this app uses business intelligence and machine learning. I refered to other wikipedia pages like Brightidea (San Francisco based start up) and Eye fi to try making my article as per wikipedia.

I do realize your perspective of keep encyclopedic intentions in putting things on wikipedia and but I hope you decide to cancel the deletion for this article. And I would plan to edit this article further in line with the same vision.

Thanks, Deepa — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deepagoyal (talkcontribs) 22:57, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

The page I created has references to fonts that aren´t the official page of the company and facebook, that comprove its importance and veracity of the facts. What I need to improve in the article?

Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions

We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:

Views/Day
Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
Quality
Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.

The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:

Content
Is more content needed?
Headings
Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
Images
Is the number of illustrative images about right?
Links
Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
Sources
For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?

SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. About WisePricer Page

Hi, I'm sorry if it came out as advertisement. I was trying to be informative as possible, and I would like the page to be viable for return - can you please help me with suggestions of what to remove/change? I mostly looked at similarly categorized pages and tried inspiring from their section names and such, and this is all I could come up with. I would not like this page to appear like an advertisement and the prices there were left for reference - I'll remove them if needed.

Hopefully we can resolve this, thanks in advance. Chen Asraf (talk) 13:25, 10 September 2013 (UTC)

about deletion of pediatriconcall

Hi Ishdarian, that was my first attempt at creating an article on Wiki. By saving the article i was under the assumption that i can edit it later and will have to 'publish' it when i am done. As of now i am collecting information for the article and strong references and sources. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Voramayank (talkcontribs) 12:56, 14 September 2013 (UTC)

Armenians in Cyprus

Hello. I appreciate your contribution to the article.

I realize that the sections on education and places of worship should not be duplicates, this is why I will be adding selectively some of the information from the specialised to the generic article. However, I do believe that the timeline should stay, as it contains the important information in a nutshell.

Thank you.Neo ^ (talk) 14:23, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

I'm very much inclined to disagree. It is a fairly indiscriminate list and most of it is covered under the history section. Ishdarian 14:25, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

These are the milestones of the community. I really think they should be kept.

Also, why can't we have a bibliography section? I really don't understand that!Neo ^ (talk) 14:35, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

Ishdarian I acknowledge that my testing was not the correct way to go about making a page, thank you.

I also found that there was a properly cited page already in existence --> [[1]]

But it's not titled properly, do you know if there's a way we could edit that portion of the article?

Cinavia article and CinEx deletion

moved by Sladen (talk · contribs) to User talk:IFoerster#Cinavia article and CinEx deletion (to keep it all in one place)
The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.

Hello Ishdarian, i really do not understand that you have deleted the information page for CinEx. Sure the first version was advertising suspected but I have changed the wording to a very neutral one. But finaly you have deleted it. CinEx is really academic content. It is a technology that removes watermark systesm and we have also written a very extended white paper about this technology and our research results. BUt is it not worth to inform the world about it because it is used in a commercial software? In teh final draft there was just explaining what CinEx , without any reference to the company. So where is the advertising content? Is flash from Adobe also advertising? So I think you really you break a butterfly on a wheel with your deletion and so my academic colleagues will not get the information about how CinEx is working. I think a losing for a free encyclopedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IFoerster (talkcontribs) 16:29, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

Hello IFoerster, I did not see the CinEx article before it was deleted. However, with your above admission that it is advertising, I can see Ishdarian's rationales for following the Wikipedia policies and deleting it. If the "CinEx" software becomes notable in the future, such that there are (reliable) third-party citations, then an article on the subject could be created at some point in the future.
A far more appropriate place to reference the "CinEx white paper" is in the Cinavia article itself, and I have now done this[2] in an appropriate manner. That said the white paper is extremely thin on useful or usable details. The white paper offering has the potential for being an extremely useful situation source, but appears to have been made intentionally vague for no apparent reason. Please consider adding some basic details such as discovered bitrate. —Sladen (talk) 23:04, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

You get paid?

Hello, why in hell you deleted everyting we posted about CinEx? And this DVDFab advertising is still in the site? Hey we have academic background and academic white paper about our work to remove Cinavia. Why in hell you removed this? Whats zup with you? — Preceding unsigned comment added by IFoerster (talkcontribs) 19:33, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

I think it is unlikely that Ishdarian is paid to work on Wikipedia. Please be thankful for the time given instead. As noted immediately above, the "academic" white paper is very thin on useful (eg. numerical) details that would give it useful credence. Most of the paper is a history of previous methods; the only two new bits of information:
  1. The limits of the harmonic phase-discontinuities used for the synchronisation phase (+/-0.2% for 25% of the time); and
  2. Noting that the modulation coefficient "seems to get as high as 20%"
It is unclear why the synchronisation mechanism (fundamentally necessary for basic operation) is referred to as "hack protection". Of the two graphs in the PDF; one has nothing to do with Cinavia and is seemingly lifted straight from ISO 226:2003. As a general aside, exposure comes from having an interesting story to tell; but you have to be willing to tell (share) that story for it to be interesting (rather than just allude to it). We would all really appreciate corrections/improvements to Wikipedia and the Cinavia article where you have good knowledge—particularly pointing out where the article is incorrect. Even better: go one step forward, publish your detection code as open source and watch everyone use and improve your code and get your name and exposure that way! (See DeCSS and Jon Lech Johansen). Hope that helps, and thank you for wanting to get involved with improving Wikipedia. —Sladen (talk) 23:04, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
It is really a shame that you missuse your righs here. Shame on you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IFoerster (talkcontribs) 10:26, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion

You have recently put edited page 'Yachting Pages' up for speedy deletion. I feel that the page is not there for promotional use, i am simply trying to make the page as informative as possible by following other large page information because someone edited it with wrong information.

Please are you able to give some guidelines as i have read all relevant documents. Thanks, Grace Hoskins — Preceding unsigned comment added by GraceHoskins (talkcontribs) 10:31, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

@GraceHoskins (talk · contribs): Hi Grace, and welcome to Wikipedia. The article in it's previous state did read as a promotion bit. My best advice would be to take a look at this first article guide, which gives a lot of useful info on creating your first article. Another helpful place to check out would be Articles for Creation. There are a lot of volunteers over there who help new editors with their article submissions. Try taking a look at those two. If you have any other questions, please let me know :) Ishdarian 10:35, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

You are full of it

Seriously, you added Clickonit as a speedy deletion why? because it is advertising? I am still busy creating the history of the company, using the About page as a quick reference guide.

Copyright infringement? WTF? CYLEX IS A BOT THAT TRAWLS THE INTERNET AND STEALS INFORMATION.

I am the copyright holder of the Clickonit brand and several trademarks that it holds. Get that right next time please.

Oh and I understand that people like you protect Wiki from problematic stuff, but when a person is still busy with the layout and everything in the Visual Editor and then tries to save and is notified that the article is deleted IT GETS IRRITATING. Specially if it took more than 2 hours to do, Now I only have a small bit left on a notepad and had to create the article with that, now having to completely rewrite everything from scratch again.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Mesavage007 (talkcontribs) 14:15, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorry that you're so upset over this, but Wikipedia has guidelines about notability and promotion. You've recreated the article and I've tagged it for deletion again. My advice to you would be to create the article at WP:AFC, where other volunteers can take a peek and help you along the way. Ishdarian 14:29, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

I want to know why it was tagged for deletion again? Nothing about the article as it is at the moment is promotional? It is a historic record of the company. Edit2: Ok, I notice that you require sources, so I should only post the article when it is completely finished with reference sources and everything in place. I will try and do it on my sandbox first and post it on the WP:AFC to see if it is acceptable. Thank you for the clarity.

Tre Mission

Hi there, I am just wondering why this article would be inappropriate. We have a number of our artist's pages on Wikipedia, I have sourced all major information. Are you able to tell me how to fix it up so it won't be deleted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lorilynnmc (talkcontribs) 17:32, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

You should definitely take a look at WP:N and WP:PROMO. It's great that you want to help your client get his name out there, but Wikipedia isn't the place to try and establish someone's career. Ishdarian 17:37, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

Deletion

Hi Ishdarian. As a very occasional and inexpert contributor, I messed up trying to put my user page right, and no doubt you were right to delete it in its latest form. I created it very recently, and then noticed that a link to it from this page Wikipedia:WikiProject Scottish Islands‎ didn't work. So I fiddled around with it to try and remedy the problem, but I obviously made it worse! However, I have now worked out my elementary mistake, and resolved the issue. Regards Dhmellor (talk) 13:30, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

No worries. I figured that might have been the case. I was just going to move it to your userpage, but saw it already existed, so deletion was the best route. Happy editing! Ishdarian 13:34, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

Invader Ace

Hi I'm sorry if I did anything wrong, I am fairly new to wikipedia. Invader Ace is a band supported by the swedish and norwegian governments with members having toured the world with other projects, but I didn't want to write for so long, merely start the article so people could add to it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pedersi (talkcontribs) 16:55, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

Accountability Scotland - it needs to be on wikipedia

Accountability Scotland is an organization campaigning for Accountability in Public Bodies in Scotland.

It considers that Governance is necessary in a modern democratic society to maintain an open management [as opposed to a continuous process of cover up] to ensure that reported mistakes [non-conformances] are rectified [corrective action plan] to prevent similar re-occurrences.

It was started some 20 months ago in Glasgow.

It now has some 50 members including a number of Professors of Law [Edinburgh, Glasgow, & Stirling]

It has its own web site to be used for campaigning purposes - but in other respects it is much like other pages that you hold e.g. on Linn Park, Glasgow, Scotland.

The history of this organization is as important as its aims and objectives.

Sorry, but there is no claim of significance there. If he's up-and-coming, why not wait until he meets the requirements of WP:MUSICBIO? Ishdarian 11:16, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Imran Rehmatullah

Hello Ishdarian. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Imran Rehmatullah, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 12:25, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

@Martijn: Fair enough. He added that incredible claim of an award due to the artcle being speedied a few days ago. Time to drag it to AfD. Ishdarian 12:32, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
Images
Is the number of illustrative images about right?

Hi Ishdarian, I am new to Wikipedia and wanted help in creating proper content of my company. I do not want it to sound promotional but it is getting there still. Can you please help me in this. Would be grateful for this.

Not interesting

I can assure you my intent was not to be a vandle and this is not a hoax but fiction. Please delete anyhow, I was just testing out wiki, sorry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Notinteresting (talkcontribs) 13:26, 27 September 2013 (UTC)

About Hella Jongerius page

Hi, I want to know why you come to this decision: "I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Hella Jongerius for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article." Because I believe I have sufficient sources and references? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ha-Giang Trinh (talkcontribs) 13:39, 27 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi, you've just tagged my page for speedy deletion, could you tell me why, because I added many sources to the page's, and tell me how can I publish the page without a problem, because I've already read the criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks (Elboukharimu talk) 13:17, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
