Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Interblinks". The reason given for Interblinks's block is: "Advertising".

Accept reason: I've cleared the autoblock; please make sure your friend stops spamming. Kuru (talk) 14:20, 13 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

I created my account using a desktop computer. I made a few edits with it before leaving the computer for a friend of mine. Some 2 hours later, I logged on to my account using my laptop computer, but I was told that my ip has been blocked for advertising. I have made a request for the autoblock to be removed but am yet to get any response. I still have a couple of articles I want to create. I will love it, if you could assist in informing the relevant authorities of my predicament. Thank you for lending a helping hand on my talk-page. Isakaba (talk) 13:40, 13 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Languages question edit

Hi! Are you from Nigeria? If so, do you know Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, or other Nigerian languages? WhisperToMe (talk) 07:48, 12 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello @WhisperToMe:, I am sorry for the late reply. I should be more active on Wikipedia in the next coming days. I am 100% proudly Nigerian. I understand Yoruba relatively well, and currently trying to learn Hausa. If there is anyway my comprehension of the languages will help propagate my culture on Wikipedia, please do let me know. I am someone that really value my roots, and it will be my pleasure to contribute anything of sorts to it. Thanks once again for stopping-by on my talkpage! Isakaba (talk) 22:45, 17 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! I would be happy to get more editors on the Yoruba Wikipedia. I have a list of suggested articles at yo:User:WhisperToMe. In particular I would like to have a Yoruba stub of en:Peel District School Board since it has a Yoruba website. The idea is to encourage Nigerian Canadians to participate in the Yoruba Wikipedia. WhisperToMe (talk) 05:30, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
WhisperToMe; I am glad to let you know that I'm a Nigerian and a native speaker of Yoruba Language. There is no doubt that yoruba language wikipedia have few or no active editor. I look forward to improving that Wikipedia project as a Wikimedia Projects leader from Nigeria. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 11:59, 1 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Happy new year Wikicology, it's nice having you around. You've really grown to be a very influential editor on Wikipedia. I hope to work with you on several Wikipedia related projects in the future. Although, I am not here for the glory, but to improve Nigeria's articles. Isakaba (talk) 12:18, 1 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the kind words and for all your contributions to Wikipedia. Please, let's collaborate to improve Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 12:32, 1 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yes sir. Isakaba (talk) 12:35, 1 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Happy New Year! I've got some replies for your questions:

  • 1. Yes, you may use English and other language sources if none in Yoruba exist. This is true for every Wikipedia edition: sources in other languages are permitted. This will be very helpful since a large amount of academic and other literature about Nigeria is in English. I recommend quoting relevant passages of material that you cite.
  • 2. In regards to your account, I would talk to the folks at meta http://meta.wikimedia.org and I would ask them about merging your accounts together.
  • 3. In regards to the punctuation, it's hard for me to answer since I'm not a Yoruba speaker. Maybe I would use English punctuation, then ask somebody at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) if they want to write a script that replaces the punctuation with the proper stuff.
