Just create a new name file

I am thinking like a file name like Natasha Romanoff. will work. Too many glitches with the original file. I tried WP:Purge and it didn’t work. Also reduce the image size. It’s too large of a file in fair use it seems so far.Jhenderson 777 19:41, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

@Jhenderson777: Try and purge again now, it probably didn't work because I was still messing around with the image and cropping. Image size is reduced now, that was because square brackets were around the filename. Let me know if problems persist. IronManCap (talk) 19:43, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
I think what you uploaded is a .jpeg when it still says .jpg maybe. Hence why I said you might be better off downloading a new one.Jhenderson 777 19:45, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: Are problems still persisting? Will upload as new file if they are. IronManCap (talk) 19:48, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
I purged. It didn’t update on file page but it looked fine on the article. Jhenderson 777 19:49, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: That sounds like a classic 'new image' situation. The image should sort itself out eventually, it has for me. IronManCap (talk) 19:52, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
@TriiipleThreat:: Did you mean to bring the old image back? Jhenderson 777 19:55, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: He also did the WP:IMAGERES reduction that a bot normally does, so it wasn't just a revert. IronManCap (talk) 19:58, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
It displays fine for me, you might just need to refresh, If not, give just it a bit.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 19:59, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

Ok. I am just seeing the old file image brought back. I don’t know about you guys? Jhenderson 777 20:03, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

@Jhenderson777: Maybe just get off WP then get back on, or click the image and click off. It will change eventually, don't worry. IronManCap (talk) 20:04, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
Also @IronManCap:, although not a requirement but standard ratio for images are 1.5:1 or 1:1.5 depending on portrait or landscape. So try to keep that in mind when you crop.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:05, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
@TriiipleThreat: I usually crop around head and shoulders or go from the rule of thirds. Will keep this in mind next time, thanks. IronManCap (talk) 20:08, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
Yeah it’s different in two distinct web browsers. I suspected we wasn’t seeing the same thing. But I see now. Jhenderson 777 20:12, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

Image

No I think the logo is better on the infobox. Feel free to do whatever to the fair use image. But I prefer the logo on the infobox IMO.Jhenderson 777 12:19, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

@Jhenderson777: I think team-up images from Age of Ultron, Civil War and Endgame could be worthwhile. IronManCap (talk) 12:25, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
That sounds cool too. Jhenderson 777 12:28, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
Another sidenote is that I have plenty of sources for Endgame's "girl power" scene up my sleeve. But I don’t know where to put it. I am guessing the character article or Endgame is the only place since not all of them are official Avengers. Jhenderson 777 12:32, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
Your new image seems too high quality for a fair use image. If so It needs to be smaller unfortunately. Jhenderson 777 12:46, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: I think the quality/size will be taken care of when a bot reduces the image. About the woman team-up thing, that should probably complement sources on the Endgame article, or maybe even on Carol Danvers (Marvel Cinematic Universe) since she led the team. I'll see about getting the team-up Age of Ultron, airport Civil War and Avengers Assemble Endgame scene images with sources to justify them. There isn't really a good Infinity War one apart from maybe the Battle of Wakanda. IronManCap (talk) 12:56, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
Ok, fair enough on the bot thing. Go right ahead on the images if you feel like it. If it has enough criteria for fair use then go for it. Jhenderson 777 13:02, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
Hey me again. You got a better idea of where to place the casting multiple image? Or possibly divide the creation and conception in a few sections might help too?Jhenderson 777 16:07, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: I previewed it next to the team roster table by reducing the table width, but it didn't really look good. I suppose it works where it is for now. Maybe we could do a characterization section with each actor talking about their character as an Avenger by adapting from the film articles. IronManCap (talk) 16:20, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

If we get a characterization article that does that. Then yeah that’s the way to go.Jhenderson 777 16:24, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

In fact the film articles should help on finding info on that. Jhenderson 777 16:27, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

Villains of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

What do you think of with the villain split article that I use as a probable alternative to a large article...along with using sources like I linked on the talk page? It clearly is a notable topic per WP:GNG to me but maybe I am alone on that. We already have a draft to test that out on I believe too. Jhenderson 777 21:56, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

@Jhenderson777: I started Draft:List of Marvel Cinematic Universe antagonists a while back, along with the central, supporting and minor characters drafts in progress, although WP:ANTAGONIST has been raised as an issue, which says Interpretations in the form of labels (e.g. protagonist, antagonist, villain, main character) should be avoided, although that might be in a different context. I agree otherwise that that villains should be a separate split rather than merging with supporting characters maybe. IronManCap (talk) 22:01, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
I am well aware of WP:ANTAGONIST. I was there when it was written lol. But anyway..yes I think we can split off the topic quite easily without worrying it be a content fork. Jhenderson 777 22:05, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: Problem is though, sources are likely to disagree on which ones are villains, for instance for John Walker, Nebula, Zemo, Loki, and various other antiheroes. Maybe we should have an antiheroes section on that article for this purpose. Then again, should we have characters on two articles (e.g. Walker on supporting and villains, Nebula/Loki/Thanos on villains and central)? Either way, there's precedent for these kinds of articles as major Marvel heroes like Iron Man, Thor, Cap and Spider-Man each have a "list of __ enemies" article, and there's a List of Doctor Who villains page. IronManCap (talk) 22:27, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
If they are on a villain list. They are in. Unless it’s some kind of obvious original research on their part. Looking at IGN for placing Jar Jar Binks on an old Star Wars villain list one time. Although we can elaborate on their anti-heroic role in notes I feel. Jhenderson 777 22:32, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

Keep in mind we have a 10 year anniversary poster on the division between heroes and villains. I know that is a difficult road to cross in-universe wise because of Loki and Nebula and all. Here is what I am talking about. Jhenderson 777 00:05, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

@Jhenderson777: Ok, I'm convinced. Hopefully the other editors will see this as a viable split if we base it on sources. IronManCap (talk) 17:46, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Yeab hopefully. We should definitely try to work on that when we can. I already see complaints the characters article is too long so I am trying to figure out that compromise. Jhenderson 777 02:02, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

The baddies

Well what do you think now? Getting warmer. I already expanded with reception (despite being worn out). I thin it’s your turn to see what you can do. I will rest it out. The most controversial thing i did is add some are not qualified as characters but still described as villains. (Like the Destroyer and the Supreme Intelligence). I think we should note that more clearly and not redirect them to the page because of that. Also I was more inclusive of groups or species too. Anyways I know it’s perfect so jump in there while I plan to go to the gym soon. Jhenderson 777 16:21, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

@Jhenderson777: Getting better, progress still to be made though. WP:NORUSH for mainspace, but coming along nicely so far. IronManCap (talk) 18:03, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
Will work on it as soon as I get the time, only doing minor edits for today. IronManCap (talk) 18:04, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
Well, I'm supposed to only be making minor edits today anyway. (Reality is often disappointing). IronManCap (talk) 18:22, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
Lol another relevant Thanos quote I see. Jhenderson 777 18:28, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Rules of upcoming villains

I don’t want to overdo it with upcoming villains so maybe we should wait to films who already have trailers out for them. So far that’s all who is there I believe. Also even push comes to shove, if phase four makes this article too long since it’s an ongoing thing we can divide the first half with Infinity Saga villains. Jhenderson 777 18:55, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

I'm starting to thing we should group film series together, e.g. just put the Iron Man films under 'Debuted in Iron Man films' or something, and get rid of the phases. Disney+ series could be one section too. IronManCap (talk) 20:41, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: Just think it would look better this way. Pinging you now since I forgot to on the last comment. IronManCap (talk) 20:43, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
Well decent idea I suppose. You go ahead and do that since I don’t like organizing sections. Jhenderson 777 20:48, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

@Robert McClenon:, you may want to see articles at Category:Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. These are separate articles about film versions of characters with independent notability from the original character, warranting separate articles per WP:GNG. IronManCap (talk) 00:31, 21 May 2021 (UTC)

Boldly moving the page

I am going to go ahead and boldly do the villains list in the mainpage. I know it might look like I am in a rush. Though it’s more of a case that I want to find something busy to do. I feel that notability is already proven. It’s just the debate on who is and who isn’t the villain that’s the touchy part for consensus. Jhenderson 777 17:09, 21 May 2021 (UTC)

@Jhenderson777: I wouldn't, to be honest. Please understand there is WP:NORUSH, creating this page would require a major cleanup on the main characters article. IronManCap (talk) 17:59, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
I plan to do just that. Sorry it was already done. I already explained the “no rush” thing anyway. The major c/e needed to be done anyway in some form. Definitely if we did it anyway. Technically the same rule applies for not rushing with the c/e too. Jhenderson 777 18:03, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: Well it has been reverted now, which I was thinking would happen. Let's not rush things, and rather work out a feasible split of the main characters article with broad consensus, probably including the supporting and minor character drafts. IronManCap (talk) 18:20, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
It shouldn’t have. But yes it did. I think his basis is in-universal if you ask me. Jhenderson 777 18:29, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: We need to figure out a proper way of splitting the article first. Even if his basis is in-universe, an agreed consensus from a range of editors would be better. IronManCap (talk) 18:31, 21 May 2021 (UTC)

I don’t recall reverting myself on where to redirect the villains part was. I meant for it to go the characters list. If that's what you did...fine. I am well aware that would be better. Moving on for now. Jhenderson 777 18:34, 21 May 2021 (UTC)

There seems to be no way to figure out it the split so I am burying the idea. My apologies for starting something. Jhenderson 777 00:42, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: No worries, although I still believe a split of the characters article is workable. IronManCap (talk) 18:00, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
The consensus would be against that I fear. Jhenderson 777 20:26, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: Various discussions where it was suggested to do this (by me, but some others agreed), such as at Talk:Characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe#Splitting the article, indicate otherwise. IronManCap (talk) 20:30, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
In the villains section that I created, TriiipleThreat said we don’t need any more splits and it needs to be all in one page and Facuel-El Millo talked about them negatively in the same section (At least that’s how I interpreted it). I myself don’t even like the idea of subjective “major”, “minor” and “supporting” especially when it is based on appearances. Jhenderson 777 20:42, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: I'm pretty sure El Millo said this would be a better way of splitting than by creating a villains article, whilst there are plenty of sources we could base it off as opposed to appearances. IronManCap (talk) 21:37, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
To quote El Millo: That's unnecessary repetition that wouldn't exist with a different split. For example, a split by main, supporting, and minor characters with clear established criteria. I think this is a more reasonable and obvious way of splitting with more WP article precedent, and it seems more opinion is in favor of this amongst editors. Sourced villains info could be integrated nicely into these articles too. Having one page at this point for a franchise as massive as the MCU is just untenable. IronManCap (talk) 21:56, 22 May 2021 (UTC)

Not a good idea because they’re is no clear criteria for supporting and minor characters. There hardly is an official notable one for major. Sorry..that is just my opinion on that. Also the minor character idea probably does not adhere to notability guidelines. Jhenderson 777 00:56, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

@Jhenderson777: I added some sources we could use on the MCU characters talk. IronManCap (talk) 11:59, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

ChannelSpider's needs

Final Curtain

Hi IronManCap, so I've been not working on Draft:Final Curtain (The Spectacular Spider-Man) for multiple weeks. Can you mind expanding this with me?, since 1 man creating an entire page may be overkill. Btw the draft, in the purpose of passing WP:GNG and WP:CONTENTFORK, will shorten some information from The Spectacular Spider-Man (TV series)#Production within the draft's specific production section. Bye! – ChannelSpider (talk) 23:52, 24 May 2021 (UTC)

@ChannelSpider: I'm afraid the article would still be a WP:CONTENTFORK as there is no episode-specific information in The Spectacular Spider-Man (TV series)#Production that could be used for that particular episode, per the note at the top. IronManCap (talk) 00:14, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
@IronManCap: Unfortunately, yes. But the draft can expand forward, as the "Cancelation" header only refers to after the episode had aired in November 2009. After all, Survival of the Fittest (The Spectacular Spider-Man) (Does that even count? That was created in 2008 or 2009 or something) exists. – ChannelSpider (talk) 00:17, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
(talk page stalker)That was such an awesome episode @ChannelSpider:. I feel like all the episodes (especially that one) are notable if we dig in the archives good enough. Somebody didn’t complete a task in creating the GA episodes. Probably went inactive. Jhenderson 777 20:59, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: Yeah, GA status is possibly needed for these over 10-years old episode articles. Still, "Final Curtain" can possibly be notable if more information on the episode itself and some reliable sources and some 10-year-old reviews. – ChannelSpider (talk) 21:25, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

Mistakes

Hi IronManCap, Hope your doing fine. Anyways, I've been trying to move User:ChannelSpider/Episode 1 (Loki) to Draft:Episode 1 (Loki) but the move doesn't want to succeed. I've been trying for 20 minutes but it keeps failing. Mind help moving it? – ChannelSpider (talk) 23:09, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

@ChannelSpider: I'm afraid it won't work since the page Draft:Episode 1 (Loki) already exists. You'll have to ask a page mover like Favre1fan93 or BD2412. I would say wait until the episode is actually released to get it in draftspace, we're (sadly) a while off yet.   IronManCap (talk) 00:36, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
@IronManCap: Oh, forgot about that. Will ask them tomorrow. – ChannelSpider (talk) 00:37, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
@ChannelSpider: Tip: Copypaste your sandbox work into the draft when the episode is aired, and then add a WP:HISTORYMERGE tag at the top that looks like this (ignore the tlp in the source code): {{Histmerge|User:ChannelSpider/Episode 1 (Loki)}}.

That way, the page history of your sandbox contributions will be merged with the draft's page history. IronManCap (talk) 00:48, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

@IronManCap: Thanks for the helpful tip! Will use it when June 9th comes. – ChannelSpider (talk) 00:50, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Osman family

I think if you remove Ayse then you should remove Lena too because they are exactly the same. That or keep them both. I think you should also keep Sungurtekin because Osman actually met him. Michelle Tomlinson (talk) 16:21, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

Actually, I think you should should Gundogdu too because he met Osman in the 5th season of DE. Besides the addition of Ayse and Aktimur, there are no other relatives to add so in my opinion we should add Ayse and Aktimur and leave it at that. The only other additional characters now would be Osman's children who will be in their own category. Michelle Tomlinson (talk) 16:23, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

Should add* Michelle Tomlinson (talk) 16:23, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

@Michelle Tomlinson: The infobox is still quite long with all those, whilst Lena did have some impact on Osman's storyline as they had frequent interactions. As for Gündoğdu and Sungur, Osman's interactions with them were quite brief and can be mentioned in the storyline section. He's never even met Aktimur, so just forget that. IronManCap (talk) 16:36, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

Ayse did have interaction with Osman as she was the only one she trusted when Bala got injured and needed medical assistance. Though fair, we'll have to see if they have more interaction. Michelle Tomlinson (talk) 17:59, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

Malhun Hatun

What's your thoughts on Malhun's character? Do you like her? Michelle Tomlinson (talk) 13:28, 29 May 2021 (UTC)

@Michelle Tomlinson: She gets a lot of hate sadly, her page even had to be WP:EXTENDEDCONFIRMED protected because of this, which is rare for a WP:STARTCLASS article. I think she's a refreshing change and interesting character, rather than just "Osman's wife" like Bala tbh. What do you think? IronManCap (talk) 13:30, 29 May 2021 (UTC)

I agree with you! She was refreshing and I don't see why people were shocked. We know she was going to come. I blame Mehmed Bozdag because Malhun was the 1st wife and he was portrayed them inaccurately. He has made Malhun quite unlikeable. She's better now and I'm looking forward to seeing the dynamic between the women and growth of Osman and Malhun's relationship. Some people fail to see that Islam allows 2nd marriages. Michelle Tomlinson (talk) 14:19, 29 May 2021 (UTC)

Characters section

Hey I am confused. Are you supportive of the idea or not? I just haven’t gotten to the part of removing the minor characters because I am working at the top not the bottom. But still I think all the commentary in the above would be a better start up. Jhenderson 777 14:44, 29 May 2021 (UTC)

@Jhenderson777: Sorry for any confusion. I just don't think we should have particularly long sections for characters with main articles atm, even if it brings good sourcing. Maybe after we reduce the article size. I think the priority should be cutting the article down before then adding real-world notability. IronManCap (talk) 14:59, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
I feel we need to be more like this. Makes sense?Jhenderson 777 16:12, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: Seems good. Also would recommend including reception info for Killmonger and others, Killmonger is a particularly highly discussed character with a lot of sources, and reception info for him and other non-article characters would really justify this article a lot more. IronManCap (talk) 18:30, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
I can do that reception thing about Killmonger. Especially if you speed up the task of completing the copy edit of the minor characters that I was doing. I think you get gist of my plans right? Jhenderson 777 02:54, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
@Jhenderson777: Yeah I see what you're going for. I worked on a similar thing a while back for Turkish TV series at List of Diriliş: Ertuğrul characters and List of Kuruluş: Osman characters, which also do bullet points for minor and guest characters. Then there's featured lists like List of Pokémon which has a lot of design and development info. I did some reception for Killmonger, although we could still expand. There's some good info out there for Vulture too I believe, and we could get some stuff from the Shuri draft as well. IronManCap (talk) 10:58, 2 June 2021 (UTC)

Loki

Hello, I am very new on wikipedia and am not completely aware of how the talk page works, so please excuse any mistakes or incorrect (or informal) usage on my part.

I will admit to my bias towards Loki and I understand why most of my changes have been removed. However, the part where I mentioned that It has been mentioned by Marvel itself that Loki was manipulated by the scepter is in fact, true.

And I don't think the changes made in the introduction are very wrong, since this talks about the character in terms of the cinematic universe and not the comics.

Please feel free to correct me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Loki Lover 1234 (talkcontribs)

@Loki Lover 1234: Welcome to Wikipedia. Your changes to the Loki page were as a single edit which I reverted, so all of your changes were removed including some possibly helpful parts. It was mostly reverted due to the need for a neutral point of view on Wikipedia, although some of it, such as you saying he may have been tortured, is your own original research, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. You can by all means add details of Loki being manipulated by the scepter, although you preferably should cite a source for that, such as this one. You can learn how to do that here. I've now added this detail on Loki (Marvel Cinematic Universe), backed up by a Screen Rant reference. Thanks for coming here to ask. IronManCap (talk) 19:48, 5 June 2021 (UTC)

So, I added two small things with sources for both. Hope it's acceptable now. Thank you!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Loki Lover 1234 (talkcontribs)

@Loki Lover 1234: Unfortunately, your sources were not in the right format, and so were removed by a bot. Check out the other references on the page and have a read of WP:CITE to see how this is done using Template:Cite web. A reference should look like this:[1] Also, YouTube is generally not a reliable source and should be avoided per WP:RSPYT. You should stick to published sources such as articles for references. Loki's name

Do you know in what films he was called "God of Mischief" and not just as a passing mention? Stating that he is known by that name means that is a common name for him, which I really don't recall it being. Gonnym (talk) 19:31, 6 June 2021 (UTC)

@Gonnym: I guess it's included for consistency with Thor's "God of Thunder". Loki mentioned it in Infinity War I remember, and it's been in a lot of trailers for his upcoming series. Remove it from the Characters page if you want and see if anyone objects. IronManCap (talk) 20:48, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
Consistency isn't good if he isn't actually called that. We need to be careful not to use comic book names in MCU articles. Gonnym (talk) 21:32, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
@Gonnym: Well he is called that, just not that often. IronManCap (talk) 21:59, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
My point was, is that his actual name or is that just a name? If someone called Tony Stark "billionaire playboy" would you write "Tony Stark, known as Billionaire Playboy"? I would assume not. Not every name someone uses is actually the character's name. In the comics he might have been known by that name as the comics heavily relied in such names, here he isn't. Gonnym (talk) 10:14, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
@Gonnym: It's an actual in-universe name that is canon, and it's different from "billionaire playboy" as it's his actual title. I would be more inclined to include it. IronManCap (talk) 17:28, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
I've included Marvel and Deadline refs for the name now, so hope that sorts things out. IronManCap (talk) 18:25, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
Again, could you point to the actual films where its stated? The problem with the sources you presented is again, they use the comic version names and use them without any regard to the MCU version. We've dealt with many Arrowverse or MCU sources over the years which use the comic book character names to talk about the TV or film versions, that doesn't make the source valid. Gonnym (talk) 22:41, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
@Gonnym: Loki called himself that in his final speech before dying in Infinity War, and has frequently used it in trailers for the upcoming series. That, plus sources, renders this good enough for inclusion. IronManCap (talk) 22:55, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
Quote in Infinity War went something like (with bits cut out): I, Loki, Prince of Asgard, ..... God of Mischief.... Rightful king of Jotunheim, Odinson...... do hereby pledge to you, my undying fidelity. IronManCap (talk) 22:57, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
Additionally, It was used in the cold open of the Marvel Studios: Legends episode "Loki". Know this since I watched it. – ChannelSpider (talk) 08:34, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

You are not some grand, supreme authority on MCU Wikipedia articles

If others editing your precious MCU articles hurt your delicate sensibilities that much then perhaps it is you who is WP:NOTHERE. Accusing me of "vandalizing" is preposterous, as I was just trimming and removing bloat on the lede of Bucky's page and am not the only one who does that, do you push for conflict with others for this reason too? Will you go after Blazewing16 next for simplifying the lede on Loki's article? Do you always threaten other users when they make edits you don't like on your precious MCU pages?

Threatening me with blocking, then going to the incident noticeboard to tug at the skirts of admins to tattletale on me out of some perceived slight I have committed against you clearly indicates to me that you're on a power trip and acting on bad faith. --Lutesque (talk) 19:04, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

@Lutesque: First of all, please calm down and assume good faith. I simply added a standard warning message for unexplained content removal on your talk page, as you removed content on Bucky Barnes and Thanos (Marvel Cinematic Universe) without providing adequate explanations. You need to at least explain your removal of content. See WP:COMMUNICATE. Also, per WP:BRD, you should constructively discuss your changes after they are reverted whilst remaining civil. I was forced to assume you were not here to build an encyclopaedia as you resorted to personal attacks such as calling me a bully and a thug when reverting a harmless warning. Other users seem to have also flagged the personal attacks issue with you too in your talkpage. I reported you to ANI due to your uncivil behaviour and personal attacks, not your reverts or even your unexplained content removal. In future, please stay calm, assume good faith and remain civil whilst avoiding personal attacks. WP:CALM recommends you wait until after you have calmed down before you respond to an edit that has frustrated you. Frustration at edits is normal, and it could be that I or another editor was wrong. However, resorting to personal insults in anger causes a loss in community trust and leads to ugly situations, which is why you should clarify and explain your edits in the edit summary and on the talkpage. Thank you. IronManCap (talk) 19:21, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
Very well, I apologize for my behavior and recognize my rudeness. I will drop the matter. Regarding my edit to Thanos, I just thought it was best to keep his "appearance" section strictly about his actual real appearances and not an archival footage cameo in Loki, but like I said, dropping the matter.--Lutesque (talk) 19:27, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
@Lutesque: That's good to know, just please ensure you communicate and explain your edits in future to avoid more situations like these. Like with the Thanos example you just gave, you should explain your thoughts in the edit summary, and remain calm and go to the talkpage if you are reverted. Following this process, known as WP:Bold, revert, discuss, avoids confusion and allows for a compromise to be reached. Thanks. IronManCap (talk) 19:45, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

Loki Season 2

Talk:Loki These changes are as per the New Listing on Production Weekly Dated May 26 2021 regarding Loki Season 2 which has been spotted by Show Flik. The Loki Season 2 already gone in the pre-production stage as per the new given article.

Production Weekly Listing - 1248

Article: LOKI season 2 already in the pre-production stage — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shaprack (talkcontribs)

@Shaprack: Show Flik appears to be a less reliable source than CBR, which is currently cited, so it is not an improvement. Instead, you can cite the Production Weekly listing, as that is a reliable source. IronManCap (talk) 22:33, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
@IronManCap: Ok Actually after changing the showflik article i was going to change the Production Weekly listing to a Latest one. Actually i dont find any sites listed the latest issue - 1248 all other pointed to old listing of Production Weekly November 2020 after that Loki season 2 was listed two time in Production Weekly. The Loki Series is soon going to end and people will look for the latest update on Loki season 2 so thats the point. If having Production Weekly latest listing add some credibility to showflik article so do consider it and add to it otherwise it okay! and i Understand Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shaprack (talkcontribs)

Characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

About this revert, I think that "Duplicate linking in stand-alone and embedded lists is permissible if it significantly aids the reader. This is most often the case when the list is presenting information that could just as aptly be formatted in a table, and is expected to be parsed for particular bits of data, not read from top to bottom." from WP:DUPLINK applies to this article. Many readers will be redirected to the article from minor characters or may be looking for information on a specific character meaning that they may skip past previous instances of a link. This means that the reader won't necessarily be reading the entire article from top to bottom and duplicated linking may provide significant aid for them. I didn't want to immediately revert back your revert but I'm also not sure that this is a big enough deal for the article talk page so I've messaged you here; feel free to copy this comment over there if you think it's more appropriate though. Is there anything I'm missing here? Thanks. Alduin2000 (talk) 19:14, 13 July 2021 (UTC)

@Alduin2000: Ok, counting this as Duplicate linking in stand-alone and embedded lists, I will add the link back per DUPLINK, as you have a good point. I think it should be linked for Belova instead though as she is slightly above Taskmaster, and both are in the same section, so scrolling up from Taskmaster would get a reader to the link. Black Widow Post Credits Scene

Hi. I reverted your edit to Black Widow on the grounds that the movie never says "kill" or "assassinate"; Belova is simply given her "next target". This is the same point made by Tripllethreat earlier today. Contributor tom (talk) 22:46, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

Black Widow film ending

Hi. You are indeed correct that freeing the imprisoned Avengers from the Raft was in the Civil War movie, not its post-credits scene (I just re-watched that bit to verify things). Sorry about that. The issue here is whether there needs to be something in this article to mesh the ending of this film (BW) with the ending of that film (CW).

For example: adding a timeline reference such as: "refn|name=Timeline1a|group=N|As depicted at the end of Captain America: Civil War (2016)." and possibly inserting the word "help" before "free" in the plot description.

At present, the numerous back and forth edits involving mentioning the Raft or adding a reference seems to indicate that many readers of this article believe that this apparent MCU connection should be acknowledged, either in the plot description or a note. I agree that it is not explicitly depicted in either movie (due to the order in which they appeared), but the intended interpretation seems pretty clear: Natasha and Steve flew the Quinjet to the Raft, gained access somehow (probably Natasha using her spy-fu), and then Steve did the final bit of the rescue (as shown in CW).

One of the issues with describing MCU films is that they are both stand-alone and interconnected. So, should an article on a film limit itself to just what is explicitly depicted or acknowledge (in a note) an apparent connection? Thanks. Contributor tom (talk) 20:02, 16 July 2021 (UTC)

@Contributor tom: I think the main issue is with saying Natasha was depicted as rescuing the Avengers in Civil War through that note, which isn't entirely accurate. I think just saying she leaves to rescue the remaining Avengers on the Quinjet would suffice there, since Natasha's role in that Civil War ending isn't explicit, unlike saying her death was depicted in Endgame with a note. IronManCap (talk) 20:25, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
Fair enough. I'm ok with leaving it as it is. However, if people keep trying to add notes about the Raft or the rescue to the plot description, then a note may be needed. If it is, then I suggest that the note be clear that Natasha is not seen in that CW scene. Thanks for your thoughts. Contributor tom (talk) 21:44, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
@Contributor tom: If people keep adding such details, we could always add a hidden note to clarify things, but I don't think a visual note indicating something that wasn't depicted is necessary. IronManCap (talk) 21:48, 16 July 2021 (UTC)

MCU Bruce Banner image

Hi there - wanted to expand on my edits to Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner Hulk.jpg as you undid the change. I think my edit was justified and don't want to start an rv/edit war so thought I'd share a little more. The image I replaced has a strong red cast from lighting in the scene. The main article describes this iteration of Hulk by saying "his skin tones, depending on lighting, either resemble an olive or even gray slate" which is not clearly shown in the image. To further complicate matters, there is a separate Marvel character Red Hulk that is differentiated by his red skin, this further makes the red-tinted photo a poor choice for this green Hulk. The picture I chose far more accurately shows the character - the scene is an overcast daytime scene and there is no colored ambient light on Hulk, correctly depicting his olive tone. Despite your concern, the picture is not from the 2003 movie; you can tell most clearly by the hairstyle and skin tone. Thanks. --Mashed Potate Jones (talk) 06:35, 18 July 2021 (UTC)

@Mashed Potate Jones: Alright. It being the 2003 Hulk was really my only concern. Let's see if anyone else objects. IronManCap (talk) 11:11, 18 July 2021 (UTC)

What If...?

Hello IronManCap May i ask a question Since Loki TV series said that there are variants of the same character and that two variants may look like each other (e g Loki and Prez Loki) or different (eg Loki and Sylvie).

That raises my question, Is What If...? In the same universe (just alternate universe) since the characters and events shown there are different from what we have seen so far. Like T'Challa is Star-Lord instead of Black Panther and Peggy Carter is Captain Carter instead of Steve Rogers.

Or is that different? Please clarify. Seaweed Brain1993 (talk) 16:25, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

@Seaweed Brain1993: I don't think it will be canon in the MCU, if that's what you're asking, simply as an anthology series exploring alternative scenarios in MCU films. The simple answer is I don't know for sure, and it could focus on alternate MCU timelines like you said. IronManCap (talk) 21:59, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

Ok, IronManCap Seaweed Brain1993 (talk) 01:56, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

Hello there IronManCap Since at the end of Loki Episode 6 The timeline has split into several alternate timelines which split into their own branches.

I can't help but wonder whether What If...? Is going to focus on those new branches Seaweed Brain1993 (talk) 11:08, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

@Seaweed Brain1993: Like I said, I don't know for sure, but I think it will be set outside of MCU continuity. IronManCap (talk) 11:12, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
