RfA Thanks edit

  Mike's RfA Thanks
Iridescence: Thanks very much for your support at my RfA. Unfortunately, it was clear that no consensus was going to be reached, and I have withdrawn the request at a final tally of 31/17/4. Regardless, I really appreciate your confidence in me. Despite the failure, rest assured that I will continue to edit Wikipedia as before. If all goes well, I think that I will re-apply in January or February. - Mike | Talk 04:39, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I'll be sure to let you know. - Mike | Talk 05:22, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism of Katrina (Inheritance) edit

Hiya. I'd like to say that, while I did do some childish editing (and really shouldn't have), I did not vandalize the article itself. It had already been vandalized, and was pointed out to me by a friend. Much of the message that was using the page as a blog was already there when I arrived, and I simply edited that portion in order to make the original perpetrator sound more idiotic. I understand that this was not the proper course of action at all, and I'm not here to demand that you recognize that I'm innocent or some nonsense like that. I am here to ask if you can look and see who edited the article before me and make sure they recieve the same message you gave me. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Spoofmaster (talkcontribs) 04:30, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Glad to hear it. I was surprised that the response to the edit was so prompt, and you sending me the message actually made me sort of happy to know that the site is being patrolled. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Spoofmaster (talkcontribs) 13:29, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

Dalbury's RfA edit

My RfA passed with a tally of 71/1/0. Thank you very much for your support. I hope that my performance as an admin will not disappoint you. Please let me know if you see me doing anything inappropriate. -- Donald Albury 03:29, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

RfA thanks edit

Thank you for the Support

I'd like to express my huge thanks to you, Iridescence, for your support in my recent RfA, which closed with 100% support at 71/0/1. Needless to say, I am very suprised at the huge levels of support I've seen on my RfA, and at the fact that I only had give three answers, unlike many other nominees who have had many, many more questions! I'll be careful with my use of the tools, and invite you to tell me off if I do something wrong! Thanks, Martinp23 14:49, 18 November 2006 (UTC) Reply

Thanks for your support! edit

A week ago I nominated myself, hoping to be able to help Wikipedia as an administrator as much as a WikiGnome. I am very glad many others shared my thoughts, including you. Thank you for your trust! Be sure I will use these tools to protect and prevent and not to harass or punish. Should you feel I am overreacting, pat me so that I can correct myself. Hopefully, I will be as active as administrator as an editor. Thanks again! ReyBrujo 20:32, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Monobook edit edit

Hello, Iridescence, I wanted to let you know that I have edited your monobook file because it was incorrectly appearing in Category:AfD debates (Not yet sorted). This should not cause any problems for you, but if it should for some reason please make sure that you do not reinsert yourself in the category when you fix it. Thanks, Prodego talk 17:12, 29 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hmm, that is wierd, there must be something set up wrong in your monobook, this shouldn't change how the scripts work. I'll see if I can fix it for you. Prodego talk 16:40, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
I forgot to comment out the nowiki when I added it (doh!) so I have fixed it now (and removed something you don't need anymore, it is in the sitewide monobook now). Let me know if you have any problems, Prodego talk 17:29, 1 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:CVU status edit

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Disputed fair use rationale for Image:LostAndFound-IanVanDahl.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:LostAndFound-IanVanDahl.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 17:53, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Template:Userpage exclusive edit

A tag has been placed on Template:Userpage exclusive requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 22:08, 20 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. RC Patrol-related Proposals in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey edit

Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.
