April 2008 edit

Thanks for experimenting with the page Parsi on Wikipedia. Your recent edit appears to have added incorrect information, and has been reverted or removed. All information in the encyclopedia must be verifiable in a reliable published source. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
The only cited content you provided is a) from a "holistic" website with no encyclopedic credibility, b) falsely citing a source used by that webpage and that you do not yourself have, c) is unencyclopedic half-truths which is more accurately discussed in another article on wikipedia itself, d) is irrelevant to the subject under discussion. The rest of your edits to the article are patently original research and violate a cardinal Wikipedia policy. In its existing form, the article is moreover based on reliable sources, and it would be much appreciated if it remained that way. Thank you. -- Fullstop (talk) 14:55, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Democritus edit

Your edits to Democritus have been reverted for being unsourced. A source is NOT a link to another unsourced internet page, but a precise reference to an old text or to a serious scholarly work. --Fabullus (talk) 06:53, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I saw that you made a bunch of edits on Assadabdi page, please note that this user, is removing a bunch of reliable primary sources with a deceptive edit summery that he is "reverting for lack of sourcing". --CreazySuit (talk) 15:10, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Farzaneh Taidi edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Farzaneh Taidi, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://farzanehtaidi.com/biography-en.php. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 12:58, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

On Asadabadi edit

Dear Iranway, it seems that someone has again decided that Asadabadi should be Al-Afghani. I have now left a message for him/her here: [1]. Perhaps you wish to pursue the case, as I am really not in any mood to get involved with another know-nothing. Kind regards, --BF 03:41, 9 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

He is recognized as "al-Afghani" in 95% of the total sources. He claimed to be of Afghan origin. Some say he was born in Iran and that is disputed by many. Al-Afghani never said he was born in Iran or being a Persian. I respect that you like him to be Persian and of Iran but al-Afghani himself told the world that he was Afghan so you have to respect his own words. He never used "Asadabadi" as his last name so please don't add that again because it is misleading, you may add that in Persian version of Wikipedia but not in this English version.--Charsada (talk) 04:50, 9 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Charsada, mind you, you claim without presenting a single reference!!! Give some references where he, that is Asadabadi, said what you ascribe to him. I am sorry, but it seems that you are taking fiction for fact and do not realise it. Please read some literature for understanding why Asadabadi was circumspect about his origins: as an Iranian he would be a persona non grata everywhere, as the Qajar family, including the King, considered him as a most deadly enemy of their regime - three of the people who had merely associated with him were arrested on their crossing the border of Iran and were killed in the most barbaric way in Tabriz. Please note that I am talking about facts of history and were it not for this very reason, I would not have insisted on naming Asadabadi as Asadabadi. I say this to assure you that I have no intention of disowning Afghanistan from one of her historical figures. I end by urging you to read some history and stop piling baseless claims upon baseless claims, expecting that people will quietly swallow all the claims that are thrown at them. I emphasise, if you have some reputable references, please cite them and I/we shall look at them. However, without any verifiable document, your claim remains a baseless claim. --BF 16:11, 9 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
