Adminship? edit

I noticed your edit to WP:RFA, and reverted it because it was just a link to your userpage. Are you trying to nominate yourself for adminship? If so, I can help you with the technical elements of doing so. I have to warn you, though, that I think your chances of succeeding are very low due to your small edit count. Well, for starters you'll need to go to Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Inspector Mortimer and replace all instances of "USERNAME" with your username. You should really also answer the questions under "Questions for the candidate". Once you've done that, you can go back to WP:RFA and transcribe your nomination by adding {{Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Inspector Mortimer}} to the page. But again, I really think you should hold off until you have a few thousand more edits. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 02:53, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I hate to disappoint, but most successful admin candidates have at least three thousand or so edits. Besides that, adminship isn't a big deal and doesn't give you access to many more tools anyway, so even without being an admin you should be able to make some valuable contributions (you seem to be off to a pretty decent start). If you're no longer interested in applying at this point, I can just delete your RFA page - okay with you? Sarcasticidealist (talk) 03:02, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
