Your post on the New Page Patrol noticeboard edit

Hi Infobox5. You posted this on the new page patrol noticeboard, but I'm not sure why. Are you asking for help?- MrX 18:30, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi!I need to patrol this page, how to do it?Thank you!

You don't. A user shouldn't patrol pages they created. Moreover, you need to have permission to patrol any page at all. I'll take a look at that page though. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 18:46, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thank you!

I've gone ahead and patrolled it, and noted a few issues with it. One problem is that you are using the Russian Wikipedia as a source. You shouldn't do that. Wikipedia is not a reliable source, because it is user generated content. You also use the same reference multiple times, but you provide a new citation each time. It makes it easier on readers if you name your citations and then call back to them if you want to use them again. You can do that by putting <ref name="NAME OF REFERENCE"> instead of just <ref>, and then for the second or third time you use that source you would put <ref name="NAME OF REFERENCE" /> and it would link them. Let me know if you have any questions. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 19:32, 5 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 06:40, 7 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

June 2017 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at User talk:Uncle Roy, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Uncle Roy (talk) 14:28, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A request has been filed for the title of Rudolf Schumann (composer) requesting that it be added to the title blacklist. This has been done because the article appears to be a recreation, under a different title, of an article which is itself currently protected against recreation. Please note that titles used to circumvent the protection policy are often given the same level of protection as the original title the author is trying to circumvent, or are added to the title blacklist.

If you feel that the topic of the article meets our notability guidelines, please request a deletion review or use a request for unprotection instead.

Please note that repeated recreation of an article against a consensus to delete is considered disruptive and grounds for a block. Thank you. Uncle Roy (talk) 06:58, 3 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Rudolf Schumann (composer) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rudolf Schumann (composer), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for Deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discusion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
