Proposed deletion of Bella Treats Trinidad and Tobago edit

The article Bella Treats Trinidad and Tobago has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seems Spammy. References do not mention the company and article creator appears to have a WP:conflict of interest.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 20:01, 15 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi edit

Hi Infobella,

I saw your message at Wikipedia talk:Talk page guidelines#Bella_Treats about the article you created, Bella Treats Trinidad and Tobago. What you need to do is to click on this page and tell them why you think this particular article is appropriate for an encyclopedia. Only comments on Bella Treats' "Articles for Deletion" page will be considered.

The most helpful thing you can do is to provide a list of reliable sources (like a newspaper article) that talk about this specific business. If the business has ever been featured in a national newspaper like The Trinidad Express, the Guardian, or Newsday, that would be perfect.

You can read this page to get some idea of what other people will be looking for. Here's a quick summary:

  • If no media/source has ever written about the business, then it does not qualify for its own article on Wikipedia. (This is common for new businesses; they can try again if they get media attention later.)
  • These sources do not need to be available online. For paper-based sources, you need to provide the same kind of bibliographic citation that a student might use for a school paper (like the name, date, and publisher).
  • The sources need to be independent (for example, nothing published by the business owner).
  • The sources need to mention Bella Treats by name.
  • The sources need to be bigger than a neighborhood newspaper. In Trinidad and Tobago, any media source that considers itself to be a "national" outfit is probably big enough.

Good luck, WhatamIdoing (talk) 19:54, 18 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
