Content requires sources and must be presented in a neutral point of view

edit

In your edits you added the phrase "He can easily be called as one of India's leading academician cum administrators." Such a claim as you entered it fails multiple Wikipedia policies and so has been removed. For example, content requires sources, cannot be based solely on the Wikipedia editor's opinion, must be presented in a neutral point of view and must not be empty wording lacking in evidence or specific example. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 18:44, 1 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Our article has not said that he resigned because of the investigation at any time since I have been editing the article. It says he resigned in the midst of the investigation. He did NOT complete his 5 year term which would have ended in June. I have rephrased the content to include more details that the interim report was only the guilty findings on financial impropriety and is not final because they are still investigating other allegations. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 18:59, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

redpenofddom, I agree that you have not stated that he has not resigned because of the enquiry. But the truth of the matter is that he has not resigned at all. According to the Aligarh Muslim University Statutes, Section 2:

"The Vice Chancellor shall hold office for a term of five years from the date on which he enters upon his office" and '"Notwithstanding anything contained in the above clause, a person appointed as Vice Chancellor shall, if he completes the age of 65years during the term of his office or any extension thereof, retire from office"'

Please refer this link: [1] Please go to About us-->Policies and Procedures (University Acts and Statutes)--> Page number 23 and 24 (Section 2, Clauses 4 and 5).

As you have stated, Prof Azis would have completed 5 years by June 2012. But he completed 65 years first, on January 18th, 2012. So, in accordance with Section 2, Clause 5, he demitted his office one day before that is on January 17th 2012. Reference for that is already provided.

So, I request you to please stop using the word resign, as it would be insulting to a person such as him, who had occupied this position of national importance.

the problem has been compounded by the fact that the present Registrar was part of the original administrative team of previous VC Prof P K Abdul Azis, who continues to be under cloud and is facing a CBI enquiry -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 14:56, 4 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
