Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added to the page Sinusitis do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ST47Talk 19:58, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Conjunctivitis. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thanks for responding. But "my site strives to achieve that" means that you are adding external links to your own site. Please see the guideline Wikipedia:Conflict of interest where 3rd of possible situations where one needs to take care is "Linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles". If you wish to add a link to your own site, then as per WP:COI#Suggesting changes to articles, or requesting a new article, raise the matter on the article's talk page and let another 3rd party editor decide whether the link is appropriate under WP:External links and should be added - remember not everything that is true necessary needs be included in articles as wikipedia is not a directory listing. Otherwise adding links your to your ownsite may be viewed as WP:Spamming. David Ruben Talk 21:48, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
