June 2020 edit

Hello, I'm ProcrasinatingReader. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, East–west rail corridor (Australia), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ProcrasinatingReader (talk) 16:03, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi IndianRailMan! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at East–west rail corridor (Australia) that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia — it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you.   Hello, IndianRailMan. I noticed that you changed the length attributed to the railway line in the article East–west rail corridor (Australia), but you didn't provide a reliable source. Unverified information edit

Thank you for your edits and being a part of Wikipedia. However one of your recent edits has failed to comply with Wikipedia verifiability rules and may have been removed. Kindly re add the said information with proper source mentioned as a "reference". Thank you so much Animesh24 (talk) 02:22, 11 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for June 26 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ganges, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ara (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:17, 26 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

July 2020 edit

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Farakka Barrage does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary.
If you change data on a page you are expected to explain it. If it has been changed to incorrect data, then "Correcting data per cited source" or similar should be used as an edit summary. 220 of ßorg 08:07, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

You were advised about this issue on 8 June 2020, but have continued to mark non-minor edits as minor. All you have to do is uncheck a  Y tick box. 220 of ßorg 08:15, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Shigar River. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. Thank you. MBlaze Lightning 22:18, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at National Highway 6 (India, old numbering), you may be blocked from editing. Also, please don't use the minor edit checkbox for edits that add content to the article. TuskDeer (talk) 15:48, 20 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Warning against removing or modifying data without sources edit

You are not supposed to remove anything from an article or modify it. Explanations like History redefined are not acceptable. Please don't pick what should stay in an article or add anything unsourced as I have found. Unless you have something contrary to what is in a source, you shouldn't remove it. Unless you have a source for what you're adding, you should avoid adding it. Such edits in future will be immediately reverted. LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk) 15:05, 28 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

October 2020 edit

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Tigris. Magnolia677 (talk) 16:24, 19 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Izzat Bridge edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Izzat Bridge requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://wiki.fibis.org/w/Izat_Bridge and https://copyvios.toolforge.org/?lang=en&project=wikipedia&title=Izzat_Bridge. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   // Timothy :: talk  08:40, 13 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I always provide links after editing a Wikipedia article. But since my edited version on Indian Partition craeted a huge uproar in my country, my government has blocked me, blacklisted me, in spite of proving links & source of information provided by me. Hence I appeal that I may be unblocked & I will adhere by the rules of Wikipedia. Also from now on I will edit Wikipedia articles on matters related to India & Bangladesh only, giving verified links & sources

Decline reason:

I'm not sure what the Indian government has to do with this, but you are blocked for adding unsourced content and had many warnings about doing so, but you persisted. We'll need more than your promise here. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:26, 21 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
