I noted in the editing section that I have correctly completed the inline citations with the proper sources. However, I can't seem to delete the footnotes 11-21 which are either not used for in line citations (#11) or are duplicative to #1-10. I am sorry to ask but can you either correct for me or point me to a tutorial that shows how? I tried to find out through Google and Wikipedia but I can't seem to find he proper tutorial or explanation. Thank you in advance for the help.

I have completed some of the inline citations but am having technical difficulties getting all of them inserted (the first 3 are right) and completing the rest. I also don't know how to delete the footnote marks above so I may have to start all over to get the proper numbering of the footnotes and the sources correct, unless you could possibly guide me with some simple instructions on delete/cut and paste etc. It is getting late here so I will work on this first thing in the morning. Thanks for the help.

I have deleted the page Michael Errichetti since the text was taken straight from other sources. Copyrighted text is not allowed for Wikipedia articles, they should be rewritten from scratch.

It also looks as if Michael Errichetti doesn't meet our notability guideline for biographies, with a lack of reliable, independent sources (not press releases) about him. So even a new article that isn't a copyright violation may well be deleted for this reason anyway. Fram (talk) 16:00, 14 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

The articles are not press releases. The first was a biography in Business Week. The second was an article in the Wall Street Journal. I am following the Cite template with URL addresses but am getting cite error messages, so maybe you are not seeing these sources in the entry? I have read the help page to fix this but still can't eliminate the error message.

You need to add {{reflist}}at the end, like this:

  1. ^ Hudson, Kris. "Errichetti to KBW". Wall Street Journal.
  2. ^ Mandzy, Orest. Commercial Real Estate Direct.com http://www.crenews.com/general_news/general/former-jpmorgan-exec-michael-errichetti-joins-kbw.html. {{cite web}}: Missing or empty |title= (help)

But the Wall Street Jouirnal links to a different article, and a search of the site returns no Errichetti articles... Fram (talk) 16:18, 14 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

I notice the article was deleted yesterday, after having been fully functional for the past few days. It seemed to have been properly footnoted. It incorporates factual data and other information that is not included in the Business Week biography, as well. I can rewrite it but need to understand what the issue is. I also know other people whose Wikipedia entry is exactly the same as the Business Week entry (with no alterations), so I am also confused on the consistency of the standards Wikipedia is applying. Can you please help me?

Thanks very much. I sent a note previously showing you the actual WSJ article and an explanation. After that, I made some errors posting the entry because I either misspelled or put in too many

marks after the entries. The last one I posted looks correct in the preview. I hope this meets all of your requirements.

I just searched Wikipedia and noticed my previous edit did not take because I did not enter the distorted letters in the spam prevention box. So I just made the corrections in the

again and pressed save page. I think this should do it. Thanks again.
