Type species edit

A type species is not necessarily the species with the oldest date of description in a genus. Type species aren't even necessarily currently valid/accepted species in a genus; a type species may be a junior synonym. E.g. for Coua the type species is Cuculus madagascariensis which is a synonym of Cuculus gigas (see Zoobank for verification). The type species is NOT Cuculus cristatus which you had changed it to. Please do not make further edits changing or adding type species without verifying what species has been designated as the type. Plantdrew (talk) 00:57, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Pternistis, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages PLS and Müller. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Taxonomic changes, etc edit

Please stop making changes to names and taxonomy without providing reliable sources, especially when your edits are in contradiction to the sources already cited in the article. If you continue to edit in this manner, I will consider it vandalism, and take appropriate steps. - UtherSRG (talk) 12:01, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Important edit

Don't do this. That's known as edit warring (please see Wikipedia:Edit warring). When one of your edits is reverted, your next stop is the article talk page to determine consensus for the article content (please see Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle). Edit warring is disruptive and continued violations jeopardize your editing privilege. I'll watch list this page. If you have any questions, you can post them heare and I will do my best to answer them.Tiderolls 13:28, 22 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

August 2022 edit

Hello, I'm UtherSRG. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, elephant, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Given the other warnings on your talk, I'm adding the official "warning level 3" message below.
