Edit to iOS 17

edit

@Imrakesh541, I wish you an extended welcome to Wikipedia. I saw your edit to iOS 17. However, please note that we moved the issues to the article Issues relating to iOS in section iOS 17, indicated by the "main article" template beneath it. Please move your text to that article. Thank you. Mseingth2133444 (Did I mess up? Let me know here | Thank me here) 17:47, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Jamedeus. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to OpenAI have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. The dryotech source appears to be your own website (your username matches the author and you include this site in most of your edits). Even if it isn't, this is not an appropriate source per WP:NOBLOGS. Jamedeus (talk) 04:23, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Gemini (chatbot). While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. See the above notice.Gluonz talk contribs 15:25, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Also, stop marking all your edits as minor (see WP:ME). –Gluonz talk contribs 15:29, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at AR Zone, you may be blocked from editing. Jamedeus (talk) 22:52, 20 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

It might be my mistake! I just want to do my best contribution to the team and get appreciation. Thank to Notify me, I will definetely remember these things before editing! Thank You! Imrakesh541 (talk) 17:21, 21 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Imrakesh541, I understand why you are replying to this comment, but please note that a) replying does not notify the user who pinged you, b) this does not prevent you from being blocked should admins suspect you are adding promotional content. Just some constructive criticism. Also, if English is not your main language, please note that there are many other Wikipedias in different languages (I'm basing this on the grammar you are using, please correct me if I am wrong).   You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for adding spam links. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia and potentially penalized by search engines.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 13:06, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
