Your contributed article, Volgograd railway station
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Volgograd railway station. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Volgograd. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Volgograd – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. GSK ✉ ✓ 21:41, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

Digital democracy project
editHello Impsswoon. I wanted to drop you a note, firstly to thank you for all of your input to the attempt to community source the submission to the Speaker's Commission on Digital Democracy. Even though the work hasn't been overwhelmed by large numbers of contributors I think it has led to something valuable. We are going to look at encouraging submission to the next theme - representation - and the final theme, when it is announced. Each theme will have a separate submission (to include the talk page) but at the time of the final one we'll be compiling some kind of report as an accompaniment. The second point is I definitely agree we need to encourage more people to participate directly on the call for the second theme (and those subsequent). I would love to get some suggestions from you on this. I have deliberately been quite reticent about promoting the project through Wikipedia channels as I don't want to do anything that could upset the community. Do you have any views on how we could get more people involved? Thank you for all of your help so far, it is appreciated. Stevie Benton (WMUK) (talk) 15:12, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
- Hello again. I thought I would drop you a note as you kindly took part in the first stage of the efforts to crowdsource a submission to the Speaker's Commission on Digital Democracy. The second stage is now live and can be seen here. It would be great if you could help with putting together the submission on the second theme, which relates to representation. Also, if you have any suggestions on how we can widen participation, that would be very helpful. Thanks again for all of your help. Stevie Benton (WMUK) (talk) 11:12, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
Your Edit discussion from May 24
editHello User:Impsswoon, The editor who was trying to alter the Lead from last May whom you were trying to address has returned with the same edit again. There is a BRD which I am trying to start at the Wikipedia page to give him/her a chance to explain their reasons, which that editor is trying to oddly remove from the Talk page. Could you take a look at this when/if time allows? LawrencePrincipe (talk) 15:29, 30 July 2014 (UTC)

Recovering versions on Historicity of Jesus
editI appreciate your BOLD edits but you probably dunno about the background of this page, I know it looked like poor man's disambiguation, but it is because of various ongoing discussion made on talk(page) and administrator noticeboard(incidents). See Personal attacks (and probable trolling) on Talk:Historicity of Jesus. It is still discussed there. Bladesmulti (talk) 12:20, 6 October 2014 (UTC)

editThanks for cleaning up the bits that I put up on the EVD is WA page. Please have some patience with edits or additions that I may do. I have dyslexia, and as such often have difficulty in writting/typing words in the correct manner, or spelling. I am a published author, however I often take weeks to write, edit, re-edit and verify them before been submitted for publication. Wiki, is a live as you type scene, where such luxury of self checking for a week or do does not exist... So Again, thanks for putting the gibberish i posted into some sort of decent order.. :) Gremlinsa (talk) 10:48, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

Please read cited sources before removing text on the grounds of OR
editRegarding your deletion here, please make the effort to read the cited source - a major French newspaper (drawing on an AFP report) which correctly calls the attack "L'attentat le plus meurtrier depuis Vitry-Le-François en 1961". It's not OR, it's reliably sourced and it's factually correct. Prioryman (talk) 00:35, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

- I dream of horses: Good grief. Let me finish the article: if you take a look at the dewiki version of the article, plenty of references are supplied to establish notability. Scala is highly newsworthy at the moment, as the person nominated by FIFA to clean up the goings-on there. -- Impsswoon (talk) 21:47, 7 June 2015 (UTC)

Redlink
editMay I ask what the point was in removing the target of the link and leaving the piped text as a redlink? Bazj (talk) 16:14, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- I can't see any evidence that the company was the one in question, and in any case to link a generic term to a specfic company seemed inappropriate. Redlinks stimulate article creation, and are an overall good thing: see WP:REDLINK. -- Impsswoon (talk) 22:40, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I'm not sure there's a great deal to say on the topic, but, as it's not as accidental as it first appeared to me, then, fair enough. Thanks, Bazj (talk) 08:33, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
