David Brown (police officer)

I've noticed that you've made very extensive use of direct quotations in David Brown (police officer). Wikipedia policy requires that such quoted material be strictly limited and clearly identifiable as quotes. In no case should the quotes comprise a substantial portion of the article. Please use the references to provide appropriate prose in your own words, rather than directly copying the (copyrighted) words of others into the article. I've removed the copied sections. You appear to be confused: Wikipedia policy discourages long copied passages in general ("strictly limited"), and your removal of the quotes violates Wikipedia policy on attribution, which in any case requires much more distinctive formatting than quotation marks around such material. Please use the "official biography" to write a biographical section in your own words, and not as a copy/paste of material that is already available somewhere else on the Internet. Such material is useful as a source of facts, not as copied prose. Furthermore, the pasting of social media material is itself a copyright violation on Wikipedia, where you may only copy public domain or CC-by-SA-released material (and then must be clearly attributed as borrowed material). Twitter feeds and Facebook posts are not freely licensed in a manner compatible with Wikipedia, and may only be used under fair use in the most minimal fashion. In any case, please remember that Wikipedia is not a social media platform, and articles should not come to resemble public relations media.
