Craft article deletion from AfC edit

You left a comment on my talk page about me deleting "your article" about a Swedish band called Craft (over a year ago). Some comments:

1. It's not "your article" any more than any of the articles I have worked on are "my articles".

2. You submitted some text on Wikipedia:Articles for creation regarding this band. I happened to be the editor who reviewed the submission. It didn't meet the criteria for an article, as I explained in my note:

Declined. This suggestion doesn't sufficiently explain the importance or significance of the subject. See the speedy deletion criteria A7 and/or guidelines on musical artists. Please provide more information on why this musical artist is worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. Thank you. — Twisted86 - Talk - at 09:23, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

I re-read it, and I stand by my reasons for declining the article.

3. From looking at your user contributions, it is clear that you can edit articles, so feel free to write an article about the band that meets the guidelines for musical artists (see WP:MUSIC) instead of submitting it through Wikipedia:Articles for creation. You can even go back in the AfC history and grab the text you wrote back in September 2006. You can find it here. However, unless you can better explain why Craft is notable, be prepared for someone else to come along and speedy delete it.

Good luck and happy editing! — Twisted86 - Talk - at 08:45, 9 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actually, the article now exists at Craft (metal band). I hope that helps. Katr67 17:12, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
