Empire of Brazil

Thank you very (and very) much for your help in the article Empire of Brazil!! I was there all by my self! - --Lecen (talk) 19:30, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

No problem! Ed asked me to check it for grammar and whatnot, and I'm quite happy to look at it. Icy // 19:32, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
About the "small boats" issue in the Armada section on Empire of Brazil article: in portuguese, it meant "vinte pequenas embarcações". I´ve translated wrongly as "20 small boats" when the correct should be "20 small ships". - --Lecen (talk) 19:53, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the clarification. If there are any other instances like it, I'll rely on you to clear them up for now as I'll be away from comp for a little. Icy // 19:55, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
I think there isn´t any. You´ll see at some points ships called "brig-schooners" or other mix types. It´s because the names in portuguese (like "charrua") do not have an english version. Those are types that have characteristics from one and other type of ships that makes them a mix of both. Instead of 1.0 or 2.0, it´s like a 1.5, you know? - --Lecen (talk) 19:59, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Yep, I get the concept. On how to address it, I think the current approach is fine - I'm not familiar with the subject and would recommend looking at articles dealing with similar things if you're not sure. Icy // 20:41, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
