User Page edit

IceBlade: It seems that you made a change to my User page that was not authorized and disabled the animated user boxes there. Please undo whatever change you made that disabled the animations on the user boxes. Zlykinskyja (talk) 19:09, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I only deleted the box that said you were waiting for someone to delete it. Try clearing your browser's cache, which browser do you use? They animate for me. IceBlade710 (talk) 19:58, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Cotton Gin article edit

I saw your revision of the cotton gin article, which I agreed with, by the way.

I was curious, though...you included an address to a Wikipedia misconceptions page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_misconceptions

The only entry in the "misconceptions" article I could find which might be relevant to the cotton gin article was the part that pointed out that Eli Whitney didn't invent the concept of interchangeable machine parts. Was that what you had in mind? Ormewood (talk) 02:58, 7 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I misread your revision...the text originally said that the gin was created in 1793, then patented in 1794...you altered it so that it said that it was patented in 1793, then left the statement that it was patented in 1794 in place. I reverted it back to the original wording.

I still don't get the reference to the "List of Misconceptions" article.Ormewood (talk) 22:38, 20 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

That was so long ago, I do not remember it quite clearly. I'm sure that whatever you have changed is acceptable. I do however remember that I wanted to change the statement of Eli Whitney being the inventor of the cotton gin, as he is not.IceBlade710 (talk) 02:59, 22 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
