Norma Ball

edit

A tag has been placed on Norma Ball, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please write {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 19:35, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

People from X lists

edit

Please stop posting empty articles that just restate the title without presenting any information. Such posts that merely function as title placeholders are deleted on sight. Please wait until you actually have a list of people from those locations before you post anything. Postdlf 20:09, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Categorisation

edit

Please note that if a category is a sub-category of another category then you shouldn't list both in an article. You should also only categorise things that are mentioned in the article. -- Necrothesp 22:16, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Look, I know you're enthusiastic, but please stop adding unnnecessary categories to articles and don't add categories that don't yet exist. They will be deleted. Thanks. -- Necrothesp 23:07, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi

edit

Hi Icarus, nice one for getting involved on Long Way Round. I've removed or altered a couple of your edits, some for being unverified. The "speculation among the off-road biking community" that the series was inspired by something not mentioned in the book or DVD is not suitable for inclusion in an encylopedia. Such claims must be sourced and shown to be significant to readers understanding of the topic at hand. Also, creating a redlink around Jim Simak is noble, but most principal members of the second unit have had pages about them deleted, so please ensure a page about Jim would meet WP:BIO. It's perhaps a page you could put together in your userspace first. I've got the DVD series and book of LWR to hand so if there's anything you have questions about I might be able to help. Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Icarus13! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 873 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Peter Ash - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Proposed deletion of Richard Albrecht

edit

The article Richard Albrecht has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
