warning edit

Hello, I'm Altenmann. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. -M.Altenmann >t 05:07, 13 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Kkmurray. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Negative-bias temperature instability, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. - Can you explain why it's inappropriate? I added a resource i find useful!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ibukharix (talkcontribs) 14:14, March 23, 2015

You seem to be systematically adding ("spamming") references from http://nanohub.org/ to a number of articles. These links were removed by several editors and you have since reverted their edits. You need to be aware of WP:NOTDIRECTORY - "it is useful" is not sufficient reason to include a link. From WP:ELNO: "one should generally avoid providing external links to ... Any site that does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article would contain if it became a featured article." The linked sites don't appear to be unique resources. --Kkmurray (talk) 20:52, 23 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Nanotechnology. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.   Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Kkmurray (talk) 15:30, 14 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for for Spamming Wikipedia with Nanohub links, such as at Electrical resistance and conductance, which have been repeatededly removed by multiple editors. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  SpinningSpark 16:47, 14 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
