Neutrality is not subject to someones perception (definitional fact). Neural is to be impartial and not have a side. Neutrality is not a tool used to ignore fact it is a tool used to keep opinion from mixing with fact. Wikipedia and all Encyclopedia's are fact based; opinions destroy these kinds of projects. Neutrality is what protects Wikipedia from being a place for $%*! slinging and propaganda.

What looks good on paper doesn't always work in practice, when the rules leave space for choice neutrality is often used to negate a valid fact in order to bolster a minority opinion. I have personally experienced this in pages such as the criticisms of Muhammad page. i understand the difference between fact, opinion and propaganda, far to long the neutrality was used to uphold the right to openly defame the prophet on that page when the same subjects could have been dealt with in a scholarly manner, instead vulgar and foul language was permitted rather than deal with specific topics. Signature edit

Ibn.masud, what's going on with your signature? Are you typing in ~~~~ for your signature, or are you manually typing and/or copy-pasting in your signature? If you are doing the latter, that would explain why SineBot keeps noting your comments as unsigned, and has left an automated message on your talk page.

You should really be typing in ~~~~ for your signature. If you want to keep your special formatting, follow the directions WP:CUSTOMSIG so that you can make the necessary changes at Special:Preferences. Singularity42 (talk) 04:10, 28 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
