Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!
I hope that I don't seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: could be seen as offensive and/or disruptive. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?
I'd appreciate learning your views, for instance, your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.
There are several options available to you:
- We can talk about it, here.
- You can abandon the contributions made under this name and create a new account that meets our username policy and addresses the concern(s) noted above.
- Or, if you want to keep your contributions history under a new name, then you should visit Wikipedia:Changing username and follow the instructions there.

- Hi Juliancolton. I chose this user name to encourage people to be more open about their biases. Biases are something that we all have. It doesn't matter where you are from, how much money you have, the color of your skin, etc. We all have them. It's a fact of life. As my name suggests, I am very open about my own biases. - Userboxes and overt statements on the userpage are perhaps the most popular ways of stating one's biases (I use both extensively). Instead, all your userpage displays is a single quote by another editor, with no context and nothing to indicate what your admitted biases are. Your user page quote edit
Do you really think this is appropriate? You are in conflict with this editor and to do something like that which would only serve to antagonize him does not seem to me to be the best way of bringing this conflict to a satisfactory conclusion. - Actually, it is arguably much much more than principles of "civility" would require. The only thing that was arguably uncivil about it was my labeling it a "funny" quote (which it is.....hilariously funny). Presumably, I could leave the quote up there with its source as long as I removed the funny language. The person who said it has no privacy interest in what he has posted on a public board. So, in response to your snippy comment above, it is not a "step in the right direction," it is an overwhelmingly nice gesture to another who arguably has done nothing to receive it. I find it strange that you and him edit all the same pages and you feel it necessary to come to my page and express your sensitive feelings about my posting his quote on my user page. Very strange indeed.

If you feel he has not followed policy in his dealings with you, complain to me or another administrator or to a relevant noticeboard. Therefore, removing the quote from my user page would be a clear abuse of your power. Again, please try and keep civil. - Apparently I have been railroaded by being accused of being a sockpuppet of one Biaswarrior. Could someone help me to get my IP address compared with his to prove that I am not him? PLEASE? I created this account while at a hotel in Charlotte, NC but am now back home in Virginia. The only possible way that he/she and I could have the same IP is if he just happened to be at the same hotel and just happened to register with Wikipedia. The odds of that happening are like a billion to one, so please someone help me figure out how to compare my IP with his to show I'm not him, or else help me show that I am in fact back in VA and could not possibly be wherever he is.Iadmitmybiaswhycantyou?
