Questioning validity of deletion of photographs.

edit

I have direct permission, as noted in the tags, from Mr. Page. Why do I need to delete the photos? He wants them included in the Wiki page about his life and career.

As I can see you are not the most knowledgable user when it comes to using the Wiki page. I myself am not the bast as swell but I've made my mistakes before on a friends page. I'm now using a new account and have learned greatly. One thing I have noticed is that you have posted up Image:Kim DDP WCWmag.jpg. This image includes the June 1997 issue of the official WCW magazine. In this case it is not owned by Diamond Dallas Page. I myself can easily copy this picture and say its mine but in fact it is the property of WWE. This is not a free use image of course being that it is copyrighted. In this case you would have to upload direct on Wikipedia's Upload Page. The photo should be place under the correct tag as it being the cover of a magazine and include the free use rationale. • Thank you for your correction and detailed aid in correcting the problem. I have made the changes and hope they are correct this time. --Iadiedee28 03:35, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Kim DDP WCWmag.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Kim DDP WCWmag.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 01:36, 7 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
