Guayaki disambiguation edit

Hello,

You wouldn't be so kind as to create a disambiguation for the Guayaki article, would you? Currently it leads to the tribe, but there is also the language, as well as the beverage company (Shame to say, for as long as I've been a wikipedian, I still don't know how to do that)

Thank you very much,

Question edit

Why did you redirect my NPMA-33 page to NPMA? Many people have questions about this report. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Best-Exterminator-Earth (talkcontribs) 02:47, 1 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Best-Exterminator-Earth: Because I honestly believe it's best to write about the report there instead of giving it its' own article. "A lot of people have questions about it" might justify have the report get its' own website, but not its' own Wikipedia article. --I dream of horses (T) @ 02:50, 1 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

About Deletion edit

Hey I Dream of Horses. I just want to talk about the EMSA page that is under deletion. I'm new to Wikipedia accounts and such and I would want to kindly delete 2014-15 EMSA Premier League, as it is what I created. I didn't know it would be a page to the public and I don't want to cause any problems or threats. Is there a way I can delete the page myself rather than waiting for AFD?? I apologize for this and thank you.

Sincerely, Bennyblfc11 (talk) 22:58, 1 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Bennyblfc11: I've edited the page to such a degree that the answer is "no", but you are free to give your opinion at the AfD. --I dream of horses (T) @ 02:05, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Communist Party of Britain edit

Hello

I've tried moving Communist Party of Britain to Communist Party (UK). As a leading member of the party we have not used the name Communist Party of Britain for years. Please see the party's website here http://www.communist-party.org.uk/

However when I tried to move the page to Communist Party (UK) I was denied and received a message saying You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reason:

"The page could not be moved: a page of that name already exists, or the name you have chosen is not valid."

But a page of that name does not exist and the chosen name is valid.

So please can you advise?

Best regards

Martin — Preceding unsigned comment added by Garageland66 (talkcontribs) 10:49, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

(talk page stalker) @Garageland66: The problem is that Communist Party (UK) redirects to Communist Party of Britain so an admin needs to delete this redirect, and then move Communist Party of Britain to Communist Party (UK). I've asked for a deletion of the Communist Party (UK) redirect so this move can be done. Joseph2302 (talk) 11:07, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hello again
I'm sorry but I've tried the move again and it's still saying it can't be done even though the 'redirect' has been deleted.
Please can you advise.
Thank you for your help.

Thank you for putting a hint in a section for comments on my page. I will take up the reminder on signing my posts properly which I have started to do already. I usually write things consistently to the best of capabilities when doing edits. One thing I would like to find out though, is I sent a message by email at some point in the recent past few weeks through Gmail and then attempted to do it through my other email but I got a bounce back sent to me instead saying it couldn't be sent properly. It regarded a suggested translation of an article entered in the encyclopedia so I was wondering how to send it properly. A suitable answer if there could be one to be found for helpful use would be much appreciated to get around it. --Just learner 15:04, 3 June 2015 (UTC)Just learner Wednesday, June 3rd 2015 16:09 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Just learner (talkcontribs)

@Shimanak: Actually, it's best that you complete it as soon as possible. I was thinking you were going to get it done in the hours after I patrolled it, not that it would take about a week to get done.

Dispositional Greed Scale edit

Hi, I got your message about the speedy deletion. Full disclosure, this is only the second article I've ever created, so still a rookie even after more than a few years! My mistake was, I went to this pageWikipedia:Make_stubs, but only read as far as "Instead of letting that red link sit there doing nothing: Make it a stub!". I still need time to develop content, so if the page get deleted, that'd be OK I guess. I'll make sure to have content ready next time.

Out of curiosity, how speedy is it? Chango369w (talk) 01:15, 9 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Mihir Sharma edit

Hi, this is in reference to the edits you made on the Mihir Sharma page. Could you tell me which of the references you found unreliable? As far as i am concerned all the references given in this article were reliable references. Newslaundry is an online portal operated by Madhu Trehan who was the founding editor of India Today magazine. Outlook is, along with India Today, the most widely read of all Indian political magazines. Please remove the unreliable references tag if you think you put it there by mistake. Thank you. Soham321 (talk) 04:43, 12 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Soham321: Interviews aren't third-party sources; therefore, they aren't as reliable as other sources. If outlook magazine fact checks their blogs, then I'll remove. --I dream of horses (T) @ 04:46, 12 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
The Outlook article is admittedly a blog on Outlook's online portal. However, it is not an interview. There is no interview of Sharma to be seen in this article. This much said, i agree with you that a better source should be provided for his academic credentials.Soham321 (talk) 04:50, 12 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Soham321: This was the interview. --I dream of horses (T) @ 04:52, 12 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
The only reason i used this interview as a source is because this is the only place i found any mention of his middle name--Swaroop. On twitter, there were some anonymous handles flaming him, claiming he was a practicing christian, and claiming that his middle name is Simon. That is why the interviewer specifically asked him for his middle name which he said is Swaroop. Soham321 (talk) 04:57, 12 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi, i am sure whether it is useful to talk with you. It is about the page of Wang Junkai. As for your suggestion, do you mean that only when he has his individual notability, can his page should be founded? Actually, he does has individual notability and we will add them soon. So can the page be founded if we complete the article. Thanks for your advice. Have a great day! — Preceding unsigned comment added by KARRYCRAB (talkcontribs) 09:19, 13 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@KARRYCRAB: I think you meant to talk to Whaterss. However, I tend to be pretty pro-merge; after all, if Wang Junkai gets notable enough, and/or the "Wang Junkai" part of the band page gets large and good-quality enough, you can always split it back out. --I dream of horses (T) @ 18:21, 13 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I dream of horses, my welcomer, not sure if it's okay to call you in this way. Actually I comes from Chinese Wikipedia to which I mainly contribute. We have debated this there, and the result was to merge. (Per here and the discussion below. ) I think Nivekin's opinion can be adopted, he/she said if the members of the band developed independently and got enough notability, they were able to have their own articles. But KARRYCRAB said "he does has individual notability", I have used several Chinese language search engines and most of the information/news of Wang Junkai was about the band rather than his individual. I wonder how you consider this. Thank you. Whaterss (talk) 02:21, 14 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi I dream of horses,

Thanks for reviewing the biographical article I recently created. See Raj Barr-Kumar.

I'm a periodic editor and I've created several Wikipedia pages in the past, but this is my first biographical article started from scratch. That being said, as I continue to develop the article if you have any comments regarding tone, appropriateness of specific content, or anything else, please let me know. Your suggestions are appreciated.

There is a big template at the top of this page that mostly lists how to connect me; however, it also lists #wikipedia-en-help connect (a chatroom where mostly consists of helpers in America, meaning most are asleep at this time), and the teahouse (an on-Wikipedia, non-chatroom helpboard).

Comments on my page Menotec edit

Hello, I dream of horses!

I am new to Wikipedia, and began by making a page on Menotec, which quickly received a comment about multiple issues. I am not sure whether this was done automatically or by you, but hopefully you may answer my very simple question: is the page OK now? I have made a number of additions to the page, following the list of multiple issues.

Is it, by the way, OK for me to remove the box about multiple issues, or should that be done by an editor, like you or somebody else?

Apologies for asking questions which certainly have been answered somewhere else!

Best regards, Laustik (talk) 11:01, 13 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Laustik: The article is improving; I've taken out one template and adapted two others (I know it looks like I've adapted only one, but I adapted two). I'm sure it'll improve even more in the future.
By the way, you are an editor, so you can remove the templates when they need to be removed; however, note that having them there puts the article in hidden, maintenance categories, which might help attract other editors to help out. I dream of horses (T) @ 18:16, 13 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Right! The article now has three inline references. In the body of the article, there are now six links from Menotec to other pages in Wikipedia, and there are two pages in Wikipedia which link to Menotec, namely Medieval Nordic Text Archive and Odd Einar Haugen. The latter is not a lot, but from my point of view it is sufficient and at the moment difficult to find more candidates (apart form adding new articles to wikipedia). Finally, there are no external links in the body of the article any more. Does it look OK now? Laustik
@Laustik: And now, you've convinced me to take it down to one template, particularly in the light of the effort you're making to link to the article. Just keep improving, maybe take down the more footnotes when you get up to five inline citations. I dream of horses (T) @ 20:47, 14 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hmm. On my computer, there is still the warning box about multiple issues with this article. I believe that the number of links (in and out) are sufficient, and there are no external links in the body of the article any more. And there are now six inline citations, which I think is the maximum I can produce for the time being (more may come in the future). So...? Laustik
My bad. The removal of the tags is now   Done. I dream of horses (T) @ 07:55, 15 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for welcoming me I dream of horses,

I try to edit anything that's out of date or wrong. Thanks again. Also, how do you add links to other articles on Wikipedia?

Megamarc9999 (talk) 08:37, 15 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Megamarc9999: Oh, it's no problem!
You add wikilinks by putting two plain brackets at the start and end of a word. Example. I dream of horses (T) @ 08:41, 15 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

New page patrol? edit

I don’t understand the message you left on my talk page: The linked page describes tools which I have never used. Is there a guideline on when to mark a page as reviewed? Many years ago when they first came out with Special:NewPages I tried it, but it seemed pointless. Nowadays I frequently go through the CAT:CSD#Pages detected by the edit filter and tag for speedy deletion as appropriate. In doing so I (almost) never consider tagging for cleanup. I never mark them as reviewed because if my CSD tags are removed or declined, the page would still need review for cleanup. If I were going to mark anything as reviewed, it would be pages that should be kept. —teb728 t c 09:00, 15 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@TEB728: Actually, I mark pages as patrolled even if I nominate them for CSD. I'm sure the admin, when they come along, can tag for cleanup if they decline the CSD. That's standard procedure for new page patrolling, since part of that is making sure new articles don't need to be deleted. I dream of horses (T) @ 19:39, 15 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

I dont understand what do i need to do edit

Hi dream of horses I've got a message saying requesting to delete "Sumazau". What do I need to do. If you claim it is conflicting and copyeright belong to someone else then please help me to delete it. I have no offense. I am just trying to contribute but probably I dont know how. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Niknaza (talkcontribs) 10:29, June 15, 2015

@Niknaza: You mostly did the right thing by removing the copyright violation; you also removed the speedy deletion request, which you weren't supposed to do as the article creator, but I won't readd it.
Violating copyright is a common mistake. We all make mistakes. Just learn from this and try not to do it again.   I dream of horses (T) @ 19:45, 15 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

VV Rajesh/Ganesh085 edit

Greetings. I noticed that this page had come to your attention. The user who created it has been on my radar for a couple of weeks, thanks to their continual violation of copyright and total refusal to engage on any talk page. In particular, that page turns out to be a complete copy-past from the one source, which is a blog, so I've blanked that content for now; but do you have any thoughts on how to deal with this user? I really don't want to bite them, but ANI might be appropriate at this point. Vanamonde93 (talk) 15:42, 15 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Vanamonde93: You might be interested in Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations. It receives less attention, which means that it's backlogged, but I think it's more appropriate than WP:ANI. --I dream of horses (T) @ 19:36, 15 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! I did not know of that board. I'm still not sure, though, because I'm less worried about tracking down every contribution (they've only made ~250) and more about how to deal with their future work. Some preventive measure needs to be taken, whether mentorship, warning, tban from new content, or something. Thoughts? Vanamonde93 (talk) 21:21, 15 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Vanamonde93: Unfortunately, Ganesh085s' refusal/inability to engage profoundly limits our preventative options. Tbans, mentorships, etc. require some amount of motivation to change and understanding why one needs to change to actually work, but how do we even know that this person even understands English? On the other hand, it might be useful to continue to try to engage with Ganesh, and I certainly won't discourage you from doing so. --I dream of horses (T) @ 23:37, 15 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Bots edit

You are receiving this message because a technical change may affect a bot, gadget, or user script you have been using. The breaking change involves API calls. This change has been planned for two years. The WMF will start making this change on 30 June 2015. A partial list of affected bots can be seen here: https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikitech-l/2015-June/081931.html This includes all bots that are using pywikibot compat. Some of these bots have already been fixed. However, if you write user scripts or operate a bot that uses the API, then you should check your code, to make sure that it will not break.

What, exactly, is breaking? The "default continuation mode" for action=query requests to api.php will be changing to be easier for new coders to use correctly. To find out whether your script or bot may be affected, then search the source code (including any frameworks or libraries) for the string "query-continue". If that is not present, then the script or bot is not affected. In a few cases, the code will be present but not used. In that case, the script or bot will continue working.

This change will be part of 1.26wmf12. It will be deployed to test wikis (including mediawiki.org) on 30 June, to non-Wikipedias (such as Wiktionary) on 1 July, and to all Wikipedias on 2 July 2015.

If your bot or script is receiving the warning about this upcoming change (as seen at https://www.mediawiki.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=allpages ), it's time to fix your code!

Either of the above solutions may be tested immediately, you'll know it works because you stop seeing the warning.

Do you need help with your own bot or script? Ask questions in e-mail on the mediawiki-api or wikitech-l mailing lists. Volunteers at m:Tech or w:en:WP:Village pump (technical) or w:en:Wikipedia:Bot owners' noticeboard may also be able to help you.

Are you using someone else's gadgets or user scripts? Most scripts are not affected. To find out if a script you use needs to be updated, then post a note at the discussion page for the gadget or the talk page of the user who originally made the script. Tag for linkrot edit

Hi,

You tagged the article I created by extracting data from another article I rewrote for "linkrot". The article is List of banks in Saudi Arabia.

I was first thinking this was done by a bot, but it seems you're telling here it's not the case. (i had a look at other articles of lists of banks and changed numbered lists to bulleted lists to be like other similar pages)

As a new wikipedia contributor, maybe there is something I'm missing ? It's a list of banks, so obviously there will be a list of URLS, like all the other lists of banks in a specific country.

Any information is welcomed, thank you. Mevo Wiki (talk) 19:51, 20 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, I received your edits and am having a hard time with the reference things. The issue you flagged is that I have bare links, but I cannot figure out how to change them to anything but. Can you point me in the right direction for that, please? I am sort of desperate as I cannot figure it out through the wiki links provided for me — Preceding unsigned comment added by DLSF4470 (talkcontribs) 08:34, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@DLSF4470: At least give a title for the links and when you read them. --I dream of horses (T) @ 08:37, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry, that's what I want to learn how to do! I just don't know how. When I was linking my references, I would manually type out [1] and it always just instantly translated them into "bare links". I am asking: how do I name them? I am so confused, I'm so sorry to be annoying. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DLSF4470 (talkcontribs) 08:40, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
@DLSF4470: Don't worry about "naming" them for now.
Look at cite web. See the "accessdate" parameter? That's where you put when you read the website. Put the title of the article or website in the "title" parameter. Put the author(s) name, if any are credited, with the "last" and "first" parameter--the "last" and "first" being named for "last name" and "first name", respectively. --I dream of horses (T) @ 08:47, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I went to Cite Web and see what you are talking about. My question is: am I doing this in the section titled "references"? Because I can't figure out how/where to type these things in, and do not want to lose the other links I've already linked. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DLSF4470 (talkcontribs) 08:50, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Put the template and behind whatever sentence you're trying to source, not in the references section. I dream of horses (T) @ 08:52, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I think I can do that. Thank you so much for your help!! I really appreciate it. I went through in the meantime and "de-orphaned" my links, so hopefully that flag can be taken off. I also must go to sleep now but will be able to make changes throughout the week. Is this okay? I really do not want this article to have to get flagged or taken down.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by DLSF4470 (talkcontribs) 09:16, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@DLSF4470: Actually, the orphan tag has nothing to do with externals links inside of the articles, but internal links, from other articles, to the article you created. That tag needs to stay.
Don't worry, though, you have time. I dream of horses (T) @ 09:18, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Do you mind going and checking the page I created? I am pretty sure I de-orphaned those words (aka, linked them to other wiki pages). — Preceding unsigned comment added by DLSF4470 (talkcontribs) 09:25, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
@DLSF4470: You've got it backwards. You need to add links to Henry C. Beck III from other articles. I dream of horses (T) @ 09:28, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
I guess I'm just not understanding how that would work. For instance, am I to go to sites where "civil engineering" is mentioned and put around those words and hope they'll end up back on the page I created? Sorry for being such a dunce about all this :( — Preceding unsigned comment added by DLSF4470 (talkcontribs) 09:30, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
@DLSF4470: Don't worry; creating an article has a steep learning curve.
You go to articles that you think you should mention Harry, edit the article so it does, then do around his name. I dream of horses (T) @ 09:33, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Got it! Thank you so much for the help! I've linked Henry C Beck III in quite a few articles now. Is it possible to have that tag removed yet?

@NewHikaru07: What do you mean by animals depicted on animals? --I dream of horses (T) @ 01:34, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Actual animals found throughout the world, and not mythical representations depicted as an artistic depiction.
-NewHikaru07, June 21, 2015, 18:55 (UTC)

They're lists of members of a particular parliament in a particular session: that they have three or four inbound links (from the relevant election, from lists in the series before and after, and from the index of member lists) is entirely normal and all they should and will ever have. Tagging them is completely pointless and a waste of your and my time. The Drover's Wife (talk) 10:59, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@The Drover's Wife: Okay, fair enough. Why didn't you tell me this the first time I did it? --I dream of horses (T) @ 11:23, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

FIIOB edit

Mate...this really is a football club and it has wide recognition in the social media so I can't just understand why is it not "Notable". Realmmb (talk) 12:04, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Realmmb: Well, actually, there a lot of people and clubs that exist and are widely recognized within social media, but because social media sites (twitter, facebook, etc.) don't have any editorial oversight reducing mistakes before publishing of facts, those people and clubs can't have a Wikipedia article. --I dream of horses (T) @ 13:23, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Untitled edit

Good afternoon I dream of horses, and thanks for help already provided. As a new user I would kindly ask you to forgive me if I may ask silly questions ... I've tried to find answers looking around but ... I didn't! I've created a second page, named lalettreb, dedicated to a monthly magazine, but I just realized that I made a mistake in the title, typing lalettreb instead of La Lettre B (with spaces). Shall I delete the current page and rewrite another or there's a way to simply change the name of the page? Thanking you again for your patience, I apologize for the mistake. @Dspress: I'll go ahead and move it. You'll be unable to do that for a bit. I dream of horses (T) @ 13:23, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

WWE 2K15 article cleanup edit

Greetings ma'am. The article, WWE 2K15 was being worked upon heavily by me. I am the original author of 'Featured characters' section in the article. Since it consumed a lot of space on the main article, I thought of making this a separate article. I even have an idea to update this article on release of a new 2K WWE game. However, you have reverted it back to several previous versions, which has resulted in removal of my previous edits on the page. Kindly revert it back to this edit version of 16:20, 22 June 2015‎ (46,198 bytes) so that my previous edits and the 'Featured characters' stay in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AkshayAnand (talkcontribs)

@AkshayAnand: It appears that Nyttend reverted me back. Next time, use an edit summary.   --I dream of horses (T) @ 13:19, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
@I dream of horses: Sure. Thankyou.
Ah, okay. I hadn't checked the page history and didn't notice that you'd already removed it. I wasn't even aware that this was a split attempt; I just figured that it was a misguided person who had accidentally performed a helpful split, so I might as well finish up the process. Nyttend (talk) 14:07, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Nyttend: I didn't even realize it was even an attempt to be helpful, so don't feel so bad.   I dream of horses (T) @ 14:10, 22 June 2015 (UTC) (fixed smiley at 14:11, 22 June 2015 (UTC))Reply

Orphan tag on new article edit

Greetings I Dream of Horses and thank you for the editing help! Nate Greenslit article received an orphan tag from you but it has an inbound link from the H.U.M.A.N.W.I.N.E page. Is that not enough? (Other citations, though widespread on the Internet, are disparate and new-music enough to not be on Wikipedia yet.)

-Fellow female gendered wikipedia attempting human Krarxk (talk) 18:04, 22 June 2015 (UTC)KrarxkReply

[talk page stalker] There was a typo; the article's at H.U.M.A.N.W.I.N.E. In general, orphan tags should be placed on articles that have fewer than three incoming links, so Krarxk, the orphan tag is appropriate at the moment. Do you know of a couple of other pages where it would be appropriate to mention Greenslit and include a link to him? Nyttend (talk) 18:12, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

How to do good article edit

Hi, how are you? I wanna know how I do to quit this message from my article? Fusagasugá City Council election, 2011

Thank u Cheers — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alfair (talkcontribs) 19:39, June 23, 2015

@Alfair: Actually, it looks like Anarchyte added the refimprove tag, but I went ahead and decided there was *just* enough sources to remove it. --I dream of horses (T) @ 23:15, 23 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

2015–16 SEC basketball page edit

I understand that the article 2015–16 Southeastern Conference men's basketball season is quite incomplete, but that is simply because nothing it entails has occurred/been announced/etc. yet. Next month, the pre-season predictions and All-SEC team will be announced, and the input of actual content into the article will be underway. For now, I just prepared the article for when that time comes because I had the time to and nobody else had done it yet. Thebobbyroberts (talk) 05:58, 23 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Thebobbyroberts: I tried to find a template that states that an article is about a future event, but I can't. I swear that one existed at some point. --I dream of horses (T) @ 22:18, 23 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Well, on the article Wikipedia:Current event templates, articles on future events are referenced, but it seems that there has been a big problem of speculative articles so it may be possible that Wikipedia is trying to alleviate that by altogether eliminating the option of placing that "future event" template you recall on a speculative article. However, since the article I created is about an imminent event, I feel that it shouldn't be too big of a problem for it to remain dormant and dry of information for only a month or so. Is that all right with you? Thebobbyroberts (talk) 02:39, 24 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Never mind—Mcmatter deleted 90% of the article a little while ago so now we don't have to worry about the anticipative aspect of the article. It's a shame, all that work done just to be deleted by someone who doesn't even take the time to cite which Wikipedia guideline invalidates the inclusion of 90% of the original article. Oh well, such is the life of a Wikipedian. Thanks for your concern, though. Thebobbyroberts (talk) 03:06, 24 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

France national football team results (1980–99) edit

Hi: Your edit using AWB at France national football team results (1980–99) removed most of the content on the page (diff). I have restored the content previous to the edit you performed. It also appears that some sort of c/p error occurred. Just a heads up. North America1000 09:05, 24 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Northamerica1000: Oops! Sorry about that! Thanks for the revert.I dream of horses (T) @ 09:08, 24 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
In the future, you may want to check articles after editing them using AWB, just to be sure that no errors have occurred. North America1000 09:14, 24 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Nice to see NorthAmerica1000 do other work too apart from "todays articles for improvement". Cheers. Please approve nomination of Tandoori chicken. Thank you. --Human3015 Call me maybe!! • 15:40, 24 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Northamerica1000: That's good advice, and most of the time, I do in fact catch large mistakes such as that; however, I correct so pages that it's hard to check back.
By the way, I think the above message is for you. I dream of horses (T) @ 04:35, 25 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Japan Film Society and LA Eigafest edit

This is Generic345, I'm a little new to wiki and having problems with adding the articles for LA EigaFest, which has had a notable film festival premiering Japanese films in North America and LA EigaFest the Japan Film Society which has been condensed into one article, due to a redirect. I'd rather both be separated. A google search does provided reviews of LA EigaFest and I just posted on the talk page about the events of the JFS. I could use your help getting these two articles to exist about a festival I have attended and a group I've heard of and wanted to mention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Genericusername345 (talkcontribs) 02:10, 25 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Genericusername345: The problem is, all because you heard of something and know something exists, it doesn't mean that it warrants an article on Wikipedia. To use an example, I have a user page, but no Wikipedia article, even though I have several documents (birth certificate, passport, social security card, etc.) that verify my existence, several people who know me, and several others who know of me.
The Japan Film Society and LA Eigafest seemed to have been merged by Tokyogirl79. Perhaps you can talk to her about why that is. I dream of horses (T) @ 04:45, 25 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
