July 2017 edit

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Vito Mannone, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Disambiguation link notification for September 5 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sunderland A.F.C. Reserves and Academy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jack Diamond. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

April 2022 edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Talk:Tyne–Wear derby, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 03:11, 5 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello Drmies, I was removing it as user Wassel Newman was making edits on page going against sourced information, they insist that the head-to-head record is 53 Wins for Newcastle United F.C. and 51 Wins for Sunderland A.F.C. while also sharing 49 Draws, however there is 3 linked sources that all state 53 Wins each with 2 showing 50 Draws shared and the other 49 Draws shared. Please see the following source numbers on Tyne-Wear derby.
Source (1), (2) and (3) on the Tyne-Wear derby page.
Kind Regards. IGrisha (talk) 15:24, 5 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

For the hundredth time.

All three sources show that SAFC’s 53 wins include Anglo-Scottish Cup and Texaco Trophy victories.

These were played in August 1974 and 75. They were glorified friendlies.

This user removes the actual breakdown of results and falsifies them. He shows those wins in non-major trophies as League wins.

He can do it all he likes but it isn’t going to change the facts. Two of SAFC wins were in minor games.

I’ll continue to show the real position. Wassel Newman (talk) 05:23, 6 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello Wassel Newman, Thank you for pointing out the error from the anonymous user, I would like to apologize for not checking the sources thoroughly, now that I have thoroughly checked the sources, I have corrected the information to now match the sources perfectly. I hope this will see an end in the edit conflict between yourself and the anonymous user.
Kind Regards IGrisha (talk) 14:41, 6 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Three-revert rule warning edit

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
