Stopsoftwarecontrol edit

A tag has been placed on Stopsoftwarecontrol, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain web site, blog, forum, or other community of web users that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:Stopsoftwarecontrol. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. LittleOldMe 11:42, 4 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Internet Globalization Control edit

A tag has been placed on Internet Globalization Control, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NeilN 18:11, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from articles you have created yourself. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. --NeilN 18:25, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:NPOV edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. It appears you have not followed this policy at Microsoft. Please always observe our core policies. Thank you.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 01:17, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Microsoft. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. August 2007 edit

Please do not attack other editors, which you did here: User talk:Persian Poet Gal. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Gscshoyru 01:40, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

RE: I am sorry edit

Apology accepted. Lots of us on this site have very strong opinions about any subject Wikipedia articles cover but it would be very biased of us to insert them so vividly. Neutral-point-of-view means that we come close to giving the readers as balanced an analysis as possible. Ironically my opinion is this site still doesn't cover WP:NPOV strong enough on a vast majority of its articles. Hopefully as time passes by and more editors reach certain articles, they will become even more balanced in the future.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 16:51, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest edit

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Hyipo, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. --Fabrictramp 22:12, 23 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
