Attorney General of Colombia

Hi again, I saw you are calling the Procurador an Inspector General.. if you have time please take a look at these articles and their talk pages; Attorney General of Colombia and Prosecuting Attorney General of Colombia.. we are having some issues translating since both are sometimes called the same by English sources as Attorney General. (I put this on the Proc talk page) Fernando just messaged me, as I was completely unaware that this conversation was going on. The Fiscalia is definitely the attorney general, no two ways about it. The Proc I've heard as either the Inspector General or the Solicitor General, with IG seeming to fit better given the enhanced function. That said, given Bolivian Unicyclist's take, Solicitor would certainly be better than "public prosecutor," IMHO. Hwonder talk contribs 07:03, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Itsyourstokeepcover.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Itsyourstokeepcover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Speedy deletion of Template:Bogota-localities

A tag has been placed on Template:Bogota-localities requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Bogotá Transmilenio

Hello Hwonder, I have a feeling you are no longer active on Wikipedia, but I thought I should drop you a line to say that ten years late, I've assessed the importance and class of all the articles you created for Bogotá's Transmilenio stations. I think I'm the only person working on WikiProject Colombia, so I've started by doing some admin and assessing the outstanding unassessed articles, then we can see what needs prioritising.

If you are still checking your Wiki page, I wanted to ask what you felt about the future of these articles going forward. Personally I feel that if they are still unreferenced after all this time, there is little use for them, and that it would make sense to work on an overriding Transmilenio/SITP article. I appreciate you spent a lot of time working on the translations from the Spanish Wiki, but I do wonder how useful they are now – the addition of new lines, new stations, change of routes, plus the fact the M line runs standard buses that stop at normal bus stops rather than stations, the express 8x-numbered routes, and the planned expansion of the Transmilenio and light rail routes out to Facatativá and Zipaquirá, and that this is now all available on a smartphone app, means it's all out of date and needs a lot of work to update every article... that's why I feel a single Transmilenio article would be easier to maintain. Still, I'm not going to go crazy putting the articles up for deletion immediately, I'll work on other areas and see how this develops. What you say makes sense; that was mostly just so I could learn the system back in the days before smart phones and practice a bit of Spanish. I guess Fisherjs isn't active any more either, seeing as I haven't heard back from him. I just didn't want you to feel that someone had come along and taken a hatchet to what obviously took you a lot of work, without even bothering to consult you. What I'll do then is see if any of the (few) members of WikiProject Colombia or WikiProject Trains have any thoughts, and see where to go from there.
