Brock did not win in 1960. Also, the Open Secrets page showing contributions was never complete. To get a full understanding of the money (in state and out of state) that went to both Kleeb and Smith, you have to look at the FEC reports and calculate them on your own. In doing so, and including both the itemized individual contributions, and PAC funds, Smith received far more money from out of state than Kleeb did. They both received about the same amount of individual contributions in Nebraska (approx $230,000 each), but when you include all the PAC funds (and some PACS were from Nebraska), you find that Smith received 20.3% of all his funds from Nebraska, whereas Kleeb received 40.4% from Nebraska. The Top 5 states outside of Nebraska for Kleeb was New York, California, Connecticut, Virginia and DC. For Smith, they were New York, Florida, Texas, California and Illinois. You may email me at smithwatchne3rd@yahoo.com if you wish to discuss this or get further details. --Lisa Hannah (talk) 06:26, 30 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
