Image:Robberg.jpg listed for deletion edit

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Robberg.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. — Nv8200p talk 03:44, 24 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have no idea of the drive space available for images on Wikipedia. We routinely delete orphan images that are not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If there is an article in need of Image:Robberg.jpg, please re-upload and link to the article. You can also upload the image to the Commons where there is no requirement that the image be linked to an article - Regards Nv8200p talk 22:53, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Swaylocks.com edit

A tag has been placed on Swaylocks.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain web site, blog, forum, or other community of web users that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:Swaylocks.com. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —Keakealani·?·!·@ 19:39, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

How nice of you to be willing to answer any questions about this... howzabout I challenge your speedy delete? What do you do, you wait until someone starts a stub and then strike?? Give people a chance to work it out okay?

lame...

Hurkummer 19:49, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please remember to be civil - I have not personally insulted you in any way and I do not appreciate being attacked in this manner. Your article did not assert notability, and was tagged for deletion for that reason. Since you are unable to react in a civil manner, and I feel that I will get angry if I continue to contact you, I will not continue this argument. See WP:DR for information on dispute resolution. Thank you for your contributions and happy editing —Keakealani·?·!·@ 20:23, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Bye bye I don't think this place is what it used to be.

I have answered your comment on my talk page, if you're interested, although apparently you're far too hot-headed to listen to reason and discuss like a normal, mature individual. I'm sorry you are not able to communicate. —Keakealani·?·!·@ 22:33, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Hybris (band) edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Hybris (band), by Michael Devore (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Hybris (band) seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Hybris (band), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 10:38, 13 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image source problem with Image:Falsebay.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Falsebay.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:51, 7 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Anrie (talk) 16:51, 7 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Verylargearray.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Verylargearray.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Cloudbound (talk) 19:50, 14 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
