Welcome!

Hello, Hrishikesh Namboothiri V, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Atom:some basic facts, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at the our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions ask me on my talk page or you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Your contributed article, Atom:some basic facts

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Atom:some basic facts. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Atom. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Atom. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Fram (talk) 07:53, 24 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of CKHSS Cheppad

edit

The article CKHSS Cheppad has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable school, fails WP:GNG and WP:ORG. Only source I can find is their own Facebook page, no secondary sources at all.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ninety:one (reply on my talk) 10:54, 24 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Malayalam months: a detailed information moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Malayalam months: a detailed information, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). edit

Rejected is stronger than Declined. The reviewer decided that there is no potential for your draft to become an article. Editing, trying to improve it, will have no benefit. I recommend you follow the advice given on how to request the draft be deleted. If you persist in submitting this for review, the draft will be speedy deleted, and you will be blocked from article editing. David notMD (talk) 01:35, 27 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Furthermore, you created CKHSS Cheppad without first submitting it to AfC. It has been proposed for deletion. David notMD (talk) 01:38, 27 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
I see you have added more to the draft. Nothing you do will be enough to make this an accepted draft. Do not submit it again. Instead, follow the instructions on how to ask for it to be deleted. If you submit it again, this could result in you being temporarily or indefinitely blocked from editing articles or drafts. David notMD (talk) 14:19, 29 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Talking Tom & Friends into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also.   Hello Hrishikesh Namboothiri V! Your additions to Photosynthesis timeline have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 06:27, 9 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of First Bell

Hello, Hrishikesh Namboothiri V,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Ulubatli Hasan and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, First Bell, for deletion, because a consensus decision previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

Hi VNHRISHIKESH, I don't think you understand what I was trying to say: your page move from 'Paracelsus' to 'Philips Paracelsus' was reverted ('undone') by another user (see here: "rv" stands for "revert"), because they disagreed with the move. I too would disagree with such a move, because the Swiss physician is most widely known just as 'Paracelsus', and we have a policy here saying that article titles should always use the most commonly used name. Whenever there is any chance that other users would disagree with a page move, it is better to request the move beforehand. So I'm asking you for the next time to ask other editors whether they agree before moving a page.
If you think that there's a search term that should lead to an article (like searching for 'Philips Paracelsus' should lead to the article called 'Paracelsus'), you can create a redirect, like Philips Paracelsus now is a redirect: when people click on Philips Paracelsus, they are automatically redirected to Paracelsus.

What are?

edit

What are the problems with my article 'Alauddin Samarrai'. I have some doubts on the template messages on the top of the article. Please clear them...... VNHRISHIKESH (talk) 16:23, 20 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

At the time I tagged it, it had one source, a "paid death notice": this means that that source is written and paid for to be published by someone close to the subject, probably his next-of-kin. It is not a reliable, independent source, and shouldn't be the only source an article is based on. You have since added a link to a chapter they wrote, which contains no information on the writer at all it seems (it just names him), so again this is no help in writing an article about him. What you need are independent reliable sources which have written about him, not things written by him or by people close to him. Fram (talk) 16:31, 20 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

I seriously takes your demand and I will try my best to solve these problems with my article..... VNHRISHIKESH (talk) 06:44, 24 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, VNHRISHIKESH

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username ToThAc, and I thank you for your contributions.

The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|ToThAc}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

Copying licensed material requires attribution

edit

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Draft:Encounter Marine Park you included material from a webpage that is available under a compatible Creative Commons Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. It's also required under the terms of the license. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa (talk) 14:08, 1 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Famous speeches

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Famous speeches, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". –LaundryPizza03 (d) 09:33, 2 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Alauddin Samarrai

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Alauddin Samarrai requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://madison.com/news/local/obituaries/samarrai-dr-alauddin-i/article_14d318df-a909-571d-b046-cfca5c4483df.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". 192.76.8.91 (talk) 17:48, 6 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abuse of editing privileges. There is a clear consensus at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#User:VNHRISHIKESH that an indefinite block is in order in this case. You may at some point in the future (I would suggest at least a year from now) petition to return to Wikipedia if you are able to demonstrate a more mature perspective at that time.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  BD2412 T 02:26, 8 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

You are free to request the community reconsider your block no sooner than a year from now, so 2022-08-22. I have extended this out from 2022-08-08 because of your multiple obviously pointless requests, here, which continue to demonstrate WP:CIR. Yamla (talk) 10:00, 21 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
