Edit reversions

If you take a look at the history of If_You_Leave_Me_Now, you'll see that a person with very similar IP addresses continues to insert the same editorial content into the posting. It's definitely not vandalism, but it doesn't belong and is annoying nonetheless. Ideas for what to do? It's not a registered user. --Cholmes75 13:02, 21 July 2005 (UTC)

Barnstars

Thank you for trying to explain how to put a barnstar on someone's page, but it didn't work. Please explain exactly how I am supposed for reference the barnstar. Am I supposed to copy the graphic itself, or a link to it, or what?

In particular, if I want to put the workingman's barnstar on someone's user page, how do I do that?

Hello, just a quick note to express my gratitude for your support of my RfA. I'm sure I'll become a familiar face on places like the Administrator's Noticeboard and Requests for Adminship, as well as the murkier parts of my new job. Bureaucrat

The header on RFA gave me the impression bureaucrats aren't chosen through nominations by others, but by self-nominations. I'd certainly accept, but only after knowing for sure people want a few new bureaucrats otherwise, I prefer to wait it out. CSS skin

To "get it" just copy it from my User:Stevertigo/monobook.css to yours. User:Stevertigo/monobook.js is part of the package too. Note - there are a couple of bugs, which I havent bothered to deal with yet - shows black text on black for certain message boxes, white backgrounds on tabs and navigation bar (I dont like), and the logo doesnt seem to want to show up - .js issue maybe. Your (third) RFA

Hiya, might I suggest holding out for a month or so before accepting or self-nominating for adminship. Your 2nd RFA finished just a couple of days ago and I don't think anything significant has changed in 2 days which is likely to cause a change of heart for people who opposed your nomination that time around. If anything, people may oppose because they think you are being too desperate by accepting a nomination just a couple of days after the previous one! It is admirable that you wish to become an admin - but there is absolutely no hurry; people are judged on their contributions to Wikipedia rather than whether or not they are an admin. Cut and Paste

Hi Howabout1,

I saw your reply to Doc_glasgow at the help desk, and just thought I'd mention that I refined your answer a bit. In order to comply fully with the GFDL, we have to track authorship for each article and not just Wikipedia as a whole. Consequently, we can't just copy and paste text from one article to another without properly attributing the sources. Generally, it's considered acceptable to add a note about the source to the edit summary ("Transferred text from foo") and/or the talk page. Cheers! TenOfAllTrades(talk) 01:42, 29 July 2005 (UTC)

could you please help with another user?

Hi. I have to reason to believe the user freestylefrappe has been adding irrelevant and mistranslated content into the article qiyamah After lengthy a few lengthy threads in the article's talk page, and my user's talk page, he seems to have stopped reverting my deletions, but he continues to flamebait me. I've made a brief report on the Wikipedia:Vandalism in progress but i've had no replies. I've decided to stop replying to the user even if he restores his earlier edits. He's charging me with insulting him and another user, and is quoting earlier edits of mine from our discussion threads which I had deleted and replaced with final more restrained versions of my replies. None of this is what i come to wikipedia for, and I'd like to resolve this continuing interaction, so I can get on with the actual editing and augmentation of my articles' content.
