Proposed deletion of Internecine (2014) edit

The article Internecine (2014) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

as per WP:TOOSOON, movie to be released in 2 1/2 years. nn actors and nn directors, and nn production company.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Spencer Sacia edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Spencer Sacia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Torchiest talkedits 21:18, 30 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. Just to make sure it's clear, I'm not an admin. In order to prevent the article from getting speedy deleted, you would need to go to the article Spencer Sacia, and click the button that says "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Then explain why the article should not be deleted, taking into account that the current issue is that it makes no meaningful claim of notability. Hope that helps! Internecine (2014) edit

Hi there. I am responding to your request on my talk page; "I am a teenage director. This film will be coming out on June 13, 2014. Not to be rude, but personally I do not think that I should have my page deleted just because the movie is coming out in 2014. And does it really matter that my actors are not notable, since this is their first film too." We just don't have the space to include every single thing that may exist in the future. Wikipedia has to make choices of what to include and what to remove. Your article is exactly the sort of thing that we do delete here, precisely because it is not the sort of thing that belongs in an encyclopedia. This website is not a place to list things might happen in the future, or things under construction. An exception is made for really big events so far along that they will almost certainly occur, such as the 2014 election for United States Senate or the Winter Olympics that year. Wikipedia has certain rules about that, and please click on the links in blue to read more: WP:GNG, WP:CREATIVE, WP:NOT, WP:CRYSTAL, and WP:HAMMER. Probably the best website to post information about your upcoming film is IMdB, which allows its users (such as fans, directors, producers, etc.) to post information about films and TV. In fact, my significant other has a page there, but until he gets tenure, he won't get a page here, even for a birthday present. I also suggest that you get interviews in your local paper, and see if they can get it posted on Associated Press or Yahoo News. Try to get your film into some film festivals. That way you'll have some reliable sources to prove your film is notable. One other thing: we have really harsh rules about living people; see the link at WP:BLP. The problem with writing on a big website such as Wikipedia is that people can have false rumors or hoaxes posted about them, and our sad experience has been really bad in that regard. So articles about the actors will have to wait even longer than an article about the film. If you are really upset that your article has been proposed for deletion, I can go to WP:AfD and start a debate there. I hope this is helpful. Bearian (talk) 18:59, 3 April 2012 (UTC) P.S. A detailed list of what we can keep, and not keep, for future events is at the blue link here: Wikipedia:Too soon. Bearian (talk) 19:01, 3 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
