Which one are you referring to? Puzzled! --ClemRutter (talk) 14:46, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've chased it back through History and you are working on Accrington. When I made the edit {{references}}- I put this in the summary ({{references}}. A good copy edit by a local is needed. Grammar problems. POVs as to cause. No major facts referenced). And that stands.

My area of interest is Gtr Manchester and Cotton- I do not feel qualified to provide the references needed. There are 5 sources given- 4 that refer to a section on a sports team and one on interesting trivia- nothing on the focus of the article. I see from your edits that you are mainly working on maintaining standards- a laudable aim - so may not have fully analysed the problem. Do you have suggested template that {{lopsided references littered with POVs}} or something similar, because if it doesn't exist it is sorely needed here. I think {{Unreferenced}} at least brings attention to the article, so it may be corrected. It is too important to be left. ;-) --ClemRutter (talk) 15:13, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Soane Museum from Crace Collection at BL.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Soane Museum from Crace Collection at BL.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

File:RAH Grand Opening by Queen Victoria 29 March 1871 The Graphic.jpg needs authorship information

edit
Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:RAH Grand Opening by Queen Victoria 29 March 1871 The Graphic.jpg appears to be missing information as to one (or more) of the following :

  1. The author or creators of the work, (including information as to the author's lifespan).
  2. Where and how this particular version was obtained.
  3. When the work was created,

If you did provide such information, it is currently confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which: {{subst:usernameexpand|Honbicot}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template.

Please also add authorship and sourcing to other files you created or uplopaded. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions please see Help:File page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:35, 25 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Folly buildings in Italy

edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Folly buildings in Italy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
