Guitar legends edit

A tag has been placed on Guitar legends, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. You might want to use the Wikipedia:sandbox to start an article that you will finish later. Truthanado (talk) 03:22, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Guitar legends edit

I have nominated Guitar legends, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Guitar legends (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Guitar Legends edit

I palced an AFD because I was actually interested in this game at first but then on the AFD discussions showed many reasons why it should be deleted (especially since you recreated it more than once). All I have to say is that you should of placed a sandbox in the article and everything would of been fine. --Thebluesharpdude (talk) 00:46, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Headline text edit

of The Ruins (band)==

A tag has been placed on The Ruins (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:32, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from creating inappropriate pages such as The Ruins (band). It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. NawlinWiki (talk) 02:10, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sandbox edit

I have never used one but what I hear is that a sandbox is a tag that states that the article will take some time to be finished. --Thebluesharpdude (talk) 03:54, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

A sandbox is a term for a "draft" version of an article / section of an article that you create outside of "article space" until it meets the general article criteria: of being notable as shown by coverage by reliable third party sources and presented in a neutral point of view. Once you have your draft at a state that you think meets the standards, then you can ask others for input and if they agree the content is within our guidelines, you can move the content to the article.-- The Red Pen of Doom 12:12, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
I guess you have already discovered it, because this is a "sandbox". -- The Red Pen of Doom 12:17, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ruins edit

Wikipedia is not an advertising platform for your band. DurinsBane87 (talk) 19:19, 4 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

April 2009 edit

Please dont add unsourced content to articles as you did to LeVar Burton. Also, please dont use excessive superlatives (such as "sensations"). -- The Red Pen of Doom 12:14, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on The Ace Gamer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Frehley 10:15, 20 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from The Ace Gamer, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Frehley 10:55, 20 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
