Hi, Holbern. I'm just seconding what pgk said. Some people have erroneously thought that by adding the protected tag to an article, they were protecting it. That is not the case. Pages can only be protected by administrators, so if you feel that a page needs to be protected you'll need to request a page protection. Hope that helps.
