Hash Bash article
I'm curious - with your recent edits of the Hash Bash article, I wondered if you actually travelled all the way to Michigan to view the event, or were simply touching up the page and adding extra information. Thanks! Daisuke0kun 03:43, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
- While I didn't attend the Hash Bash this year, I'd been a couple times previously. Basically I was touching up the page and trying to add some extra info. (And since I was recently motivated to create an article for Chef Ra, I wanted to make sure that it was linked.) Musicals infobox
Hey -- I just wanted to thank you for your input on the Infobox. After reading my edit summary, I realized that it kind of sounded condecending, and I didn't want you to think I was being an asshole. That infobox took MONTHS of debate and, as generic as it is, I'm not really sure if it can be improved. You might want to stop in to WikiProject Musical Theatre if you're interested in working on musical theatre-related articles. Might give you some ideas!

Holy Saturday and Easter Saturday
Thanks for your comment. In Australia, the day before Easter Sunday is nearly always called Easter Saturday - a google search will confirm this, I think. I agree that it's erroneous, but it's very common, and official, so it needs to be in the article. I'm so glad you found a reliable source that we can quote - the blog won't work, but the liturgical commission the the ABC acknowledgement will. StAnselm (talk) 22:04, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

- Sorry, I did not realize you were creating the song stub, better start with it first in the future, to prevent misunderstandings. Anyway, it still holds that when there are only two articles, either one can serve as the default (with no qualifier) and the other appear in a hatnote, and a disambig page is not required. I don't care which one. It can also be done the way you did it now, both articles having a qualifier, one of them serving as the target of a redirect, with a {{redirect}} hatnote, and again, the dab page is redundant, though I find this less preferable (making both articles cumbersome). --Muhandes (talk) 18:03, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

- I'm not really familiar with CSD templates, or the CSD process, but I took a stab at it. Both the (song) and (disambiguation) should be gone soon, with the relevant content in the unqualified article. Thanks for helping make these improvements.

Emmys awarded to Whitney Houston
Once again to say, the number(two) for Emmys to Whitney is correct. It's just difficult to find a reliable source cited her second Emmy exactly, not even on Emmy's searchable database as you said. Since 1988, all media have just cited the number like this. The award's exact title, "Outstandning Musical Performance in a Sports Program" (at the Special Olympics), was said on Houston's tour book. crowded(talk) 11:18, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
Gor

- The Chronicles of Gor site is not owned or managed by John Norman or people working for him to manage the site, but on the other hand, it is John Norman's main chosen conduit for unfiltered general-subject communications to his fans (going beyond unadorned book publishing schedules). John Norman has no responsibility for the non-Norman-communiqué content on Chronicles of Gor, but on the other hand, he has chosen to issue his communiqués through Chronicles of Gor. Given this, I see no problem with calling it a "semi-official site" (as it was described on the "Gor" page). The World of Gor site played a similar role for a number of years until 2007, when it was the official site of Norman's main publisher at that time. I'm not too sure what you meant by the remarks you left on my user talk page, since right on the homepage of http://gorchronicles.com/ it refers to itself as "the new home for John Norman on the internet" and links to World of Gor as "in many ways" his former "home on the internet". Inline external links
First off, IMDB isn't an authoritative source. Second, an inline link of any kind should go to where the link says- if it's to a wiki page, it should be a page about that subject; if it's to an external page, it should be to the item in question. A link titled IMDB that goes to imdb.com is one thing, but a link titled "US Steel Hour" that doesn't go to "US Steel Hour" itself, but instead goes to an imdb page about it is no good. That's just advertising for imdb. Third, why would just one item of hundreds in a table have a link to imdb?
In general, though, you'll find that for GAs, FAs, and FLs, there's just never any inline external links. They're in references and an "external links" section only. Better to just create a Wikipedia page for the subject, and use the external link as a source there. --PresN 19:30, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

Title of List of information schools page
Someone commented on the Talk page of List of information schools that the title should be named List of iSchools, because of your edit that changed the content of the page to a list of iSchools. "Information school" has a broader meaning that members of the iSchool organization. If the page is going to be about iSchools, then the title of the page should reflect that. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). E Pluribus Unum
I'm sorry, but https://www.nationalmotto.org/ is a SPS. It's a web site published by a single organization saying whatever that organization wants to say. That's the definition of an SPS. What's worse in that particular case, is that the organization has published the website with the intent of making a case about In God We Trust being a church-state violation (a case, let me note, with which I at least agree in principle), so it's not only self-published, it's contentiously self-published. If you want to push this, we can take it to RSN and/or RFC, but the far better thing would be to find an actually reliable source if there's one out there. A truly reliable source on this would be one which actually addresses the issue of whether EPU was ever the unofficial motto, not just makes a reference to that idea or assertion in passing, and which is itself a reliable source. - Abort, abort, abort. Rather than fight over that source, I've found a couple of better ones that are clearly reliable sources for this assertion. I've self-undone the reversion I mentioned above, but will replace the nationalmotto.org with the ones I've found when I get the chance.
