Edit Explanation (The Cat Came Back (1936 film))

Hello Hillelfrei,

The reason I applied that edit was because it was not the 1936 Merrie Melodies film that was placed on the Top 100 Animated Cartoon List in 1994, but it was the 1988 National Film Board of Canada film that was placed on the list. Considering the identical titles, I am guessing the original editor made a mistake in placing that caption under the 1936 film (it misled me initially). Anyways, I edited it in order to reflect on that, and I am sorry for not stating that within an explanation. Hey there. The first step is to find a source from the internet that Lise Meitner was a chessmaster. The source should fit the criteria at Wikipedia:Reliable Sources - it's pretty straightforward, any reliable news website is fine. Homero Gómez González

Hi you, why did you remove the reaction we posted to Wikipedia? You write it is "inappropriate" for an encyclopedia, but ist is an action as the result of the death of Mr. Gómez González, and further more even the media have reported about that honouring. Or could you give a hint in what way that information could be appropriate? Thank you very much. Edit: 18.40...Oh, I see, you removed a link. Ok, I can understand that, all right. Just want to point out that we don't link words in articles to external websites - if you were trying to use the link as a source, there is a standardized way to cite it which is described here. @JmilestheSA: I reverted your edit to Davido because it was written in an unencyclopedic manner, and it was new information about a living person which did not cite any sources. This is a requirement in every article, but it is enforced more harshly when it comes to articles about living people, because Wikipedia can't afford to include false information about the subjects of such articles. Czech Rep broken links vs Czechs accurate citation

Jack Buckby

Thank you for removing the warning. I should add that I don't believe I violated the policy you mentioned, which bans you from removing things multiple times within 24 hours. I was actually very communicative but the anonymous user is not communicating and has made a few unsubstantiated claims about sources being "alt right" which is untrue, and that the source used was "commissioned" by the person who the biography is about which there is zero evidence of.

They also claim that the person in question, Jack Buckby, does not criticize the far right when there are many instances of him writing articles, books, and doing interviews where he criticizes the far right.

I am still struggling to grasp wikipedia fully but I think somebody needs to step in to fix that as it looks like personal political grievance is getting in the way of portraying this person accurately. While they have a far right person, is it not important to also note that they criticize the far right today? I wonder if you might help me in getting a dispute resolution on this as I am unsure how to proceed as the pages are quite confusing. Rosswikieditor (talk) 14:26, 28 May 2020 (UTC)Rosswikieditor

@Hillelfrei: Hi Hillefrei, I wonder whether you could take a look at the post at BLPN. The anonymous user has repeatedly used personal emotion to remove content from the page. The content being removed is literally a sentence describing the most recent work from the person whose biography we are working on. A factual statement about what a person says is not contentious in the slightest but this person is expressing a great deal of emotion and appears to have political motives. I am struggling with this one - I'm not sure how to report political bias? Or how to go about ending this edit war and vandalism? @Rosswikieditor: You make good points, and I can see how frustrating this can be for you, especially when the IP editor counters your logical arguments with clearly emotional messages. I understand you want this resolved now - it has been approximately 24 hours since the discussion has started. Usually, if the discussion does not reach a conclusion after a couple of days, more editors and admins start getting involved and these things generally see a natural resolution. You certainly made your points as well as you could, I suggest you slow down the argument - if you slow it down, the other side will naturally do so as well, and you can wait a couple of days to see who else chips in. The noticeboard is where the conclusion should be made. If this was a sophisticated discussion about changing Wikipedia policy, for example, with tens or hundreds of editors, the Arbitration Committee would get involved. However, for these types of content disputes, there is no next step. I recommend you give it time and see what happens, and there is no need to pressure yourself and check in often so you don't miss a chance to reply - editors will see what you've said. Please do not edit the article in the meantime. Although you are rightfully frustrated, you have now violated WP:3RR, which stands even during a discussion. So please be patient, as hard as it is. If you do not get your way, I hope you will not walk away from this encounter despising Wikipedia and thinking of it as a non-neutral encyclopedia, which is what we strive to be, but I do understand that you would have grounds to think that way. Jerusalem–Malha railway station

You reverted edits I made in Jerusalem–Malha railway station.

I am trying to take the existing information in the history section and clarify and reorganize it because it is outdated and contains is a mishmash of links and references the old and new railway lines between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and do so by separating it into two paragraphs so that it is clearer exactly what is what. Hopefully that also helps travelers from taking the wrong line and ending up in the wrong part of town.
