Disambiguation link notification for December 14 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Michael Marder, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Phenomenology and Les Echos (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Talk page use edit

Please use the talk page before making further reverts of the Michael Marder article. Several points which appear valid to me have been raised on that page and have not been addressed. Λυδαcιτγ 16:52, 23 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia works by consensus, not personal opinion. It doesn't matter who you are or how much you know about the subject, you do not "own" the page Michael Marder (see WP:OWN). You need to talk to other editors, as a number of us have expressed concerns with the article related to wikipedia policy, but you keep reverting and editing without engaging with anyone else or addressing those concerns. This will only lead to your edits continually being challenged and reverted, and you possibly being reported (as you already have been at COI), especially as you are giving the appearance of having a possible conflict of interest. SPA notice edit

Hi Hh892. Would you please read the following? WP:SPA What is described there, is the case with you, with regard to Michael Marder and topics related to him. Would you please explain your relationship with Marder? Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 11:40, 30 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

as above. Your failure to disclose your COI is reprehensible. Ethics my foot. Jytdog (talk) 01:52, 22 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
To be clear, you do not have to disclose who you are. But if you have some connection with Marder, please declare that. You can say something as simple as: "I have a connection with Michael Marder and have a conflict of interest in Wikipedia with regard to Marder." Would you please do that? By now it is very obvious that some connection exists. Also, please refrain from editing from under multiple accounts or editing while logged out to make it appear that you are a different person. Both behaviors are violations of the WP:SOCK policy. Would you please also agree to edit only from this account going forward? Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 18:16, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion edit

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Jytdog (talk) 20:22, 22 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at Michael Marder shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Edit warring at Michael Marder edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

The full report is at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Hh892 reported by User:Jytdog (Result: Blocked). You appear not to be receptive to polite explanations of Wikipedia policy. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 17:30, 23 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your block has been extended to four days due to evasion using an IP at the Michael Marder article. EdJohnston (talk) 02:56, 25 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
